Harlowe has lived many years cursed by a terrible affliction that has taken much of what made her human. After the events in Imerre she's found a new reason to go on and with it a remission of the worst of her symptoms. Unfortunately the whims of fate see fit to throw more trials her way as she, Clair, Rene and Bea find themselves embroiled in events set in motion long before any of them were born.
