This story is very dear to me, really. I found myself loving, supporting, and sympathizing with Samantha more than I expected myself to feel after reading Baker and Jones. A pleasant surprise. I would recommend this story to everyone, really. And if the author ever releases a paper cover, I would definitely acquire one for save keeping.

This is a side story to the Baker and Jones stories and, as such, could be dismissed. That would be a mistake. What we have here is a story of redemption and love with a generous helping of BDSM smut. So many scenes really stick out as Samantha and Esther circle around each other, trying to figure out the shape of their relationship. The s*x scenes are really hot, speaking as someone who often glosses over them. The women are drawn with a complex realism that is apparent right from the start. And a happy ending to round things out never hurts.
