Burn for your tribe. Teach the children. Master longevity chess.
Life in the Burrows isn't easy. The planet's environment is unforgiving, and life is short. Trother does his best to prepare the children of the Burrows to serve their tribe, but all are caught by surprise when one of the settlements on the planet suddenly goes dark, and there is news of the return of an ancient evil.
However, not all hope is lost. A prodigy is born in these dark times, and it's up to Trother to nurture the ember that will burn the ancient evil away. Follow Trother's and Eli's journey as they try to save their tribe and the fragile society of Ignians.

Sooo... Its not very nice of me, but... I haven’t read a single word of this story, but I’m going to leave a negative comment anyway. The very first sentence in the authors synopsis is “I make it a point for none of my writing to have profanity, gore, or mature content”. While I can appreciate the sentiment in an abstract way, when it comes to finding an enjoyable sci-if adventure to read that is pretty much like saying “I make it point for none of my writing to have even the tiniest bit of realism, conflict, or fun”. Might be great for preteens, but I’m not going to bother with a story that flat out tells me it’s bland and boring.
