You might think that in the twenty-third century, after having reached the stars and expanded their reach across countless horizons, humanity would have grown past all of their squabbles and primitive greed. Technology has put what was once incomp
(4/5)
Good characters, great character arcs, plot was fine, but slightly predicable (knew who the bad guys were and what they had very early on).
What I think really hurts the story (still good 4/5, but made his first book got better) was that the setting (since this book is not limited to not just a world), it feels like it is not sure what it is sometimes. Keydan's solo time period (beginning chapters), very much felt like a star wars story, with the fighter vs fighter combat especially. While his time on port vega, felt more Blade Runner, and as soon as he got the Broken Shackle it felt like firefly/mass effect. And so the world/setting didn't really feel like it was special, because it was trying to be some much at the same time. Meanwhile his first book (Royal Blooded) was clearly a modern fantasy, but it still felt very unique and more than it knew what it was.
With that said, I think that now the crew and properties are more or less settled, I am not sure if that will be a problem going forward. So am looking more in this setting.

Read it! No seriously, read it! Really good story. MC isn’t an idiot. Loveable companions, wink wink. &Nbsp;Grammar is good, plot is good, plenty of revenge. Nothing to not like

Great story, great smexy times and one of the smartest excuses to ogle a naked lady yet. The MC is a wee bit overpowered however it comes with drawbacks and the enemies he's gathered so far are more then enough to balance it 5/5 stars as the story shows a lot of promise 😉
