Ah, being a Mercenary, it's like being a soldier except more fun, and you don't have to care about silly things like "not blowing up a children's hospital"
Follow a team of ten totally unprofessional soldiers of fortune as people throw money at them to solve tasks that range from picking up trash to starting a major conflict between two nation states.
There will be fun, blood, death and illiteracy. Mercs may be many things, but literate is not one of them.
A Merc’s Guide to Mercing
Fun and bubbly, fast paced and with tons of action. Now, when I first started reading this, I thought that it will be about people who bow to the laws of reality.
But no, this is an urban fantasy. I really should have read the tags; it would have spared me the confusion when I read how someone could block bullets with an ax...
Still plenty fun, though. This is crack, and crack done right. It has a lot of promise to entertain you for as long as you read it. The Author even wrote accents, and things in Arabian, which is a nice touch.
One cannot say that the Author is not a stickler to the small details. The mercenaries are a pretty tight knitted bunch. They all have their strengths and weaknesses and they show them in a fun way.
Every chapter is an episode. The grammar and the style are also good. There is no concrete Main Character, and all of the characters get screentime, even if at times we see the things happen from Jenny's POV.
Good read overall!
