The Maedra. Foul flesh-born creatures which lurk in the darkest pits hidden across the Overworld, lying in wait for the time Crux is revived so that they can once more plunder the lands and feast on anything that lives. Beasts with no other function but to devour and tear the world asunder for their merciless leader. They've lurked within the Ravine, festering like a plague, for centuries. Finally, they've been exterminated. Through grit and rage, Jake has burned the Ravine from the inside out, slaughtering the Maedra in their nests until not a single one remained. All to repay the debt of hate and blood.

With his task complete, Jake returns to the surface with a burden to carry. Darius, or Delmuth as was his Elven name, fell to the Maedra and left behind a pair of blades. As repayment for both his teaching and out of respect for the Swordmaster, Jake has decided to return the fallen Elf's swords to the rightful family. He first returns home to prepare and then begins his travel north to the Land of the Elves. A long, grueling trek that will take longer than a year to complete one-way. An adventure that will see him crossing hundreds of miles, passing thousands of faces, and encountering both friends and enemies alike.

What he doesn't know is that along the way, he will learn that the Maedra aren't the only evil creatures that the Overworld cradles.
