Princess Zhu Xinyi [former known as Prince Zhu Rong] at nineteen always knew she was going to be in an arranged marriage. As the favored daughter of Emperor Zhu Qizhen of the Eastren Ming Dynasty, she was expecting it to be with perhaps the emperor of the Joseon Empire. However her father shocked her with the reveal, she was to marry Empress Yao Lixue of the Revived Xia Dynasty. "By February, you will be in the lands of the Revived Xia."
Empress Yao Lixue, is twenty two. She was leader of the Revived Xia Dynasty, a nation that valued its martial prowess, progressiveness in its values for pragmatic reasons, urbanization, and technological advancement. Having ascended the throne at thirteen, she accepted an arranged marriage from Emperor Zhu Qizhen to marry his daughter in hopes of uniting China once again in an offical alliance between west and east. But she also has to deal with Baata Ulus, the revived Mongolian Empire. But she hopes that she can make Princess Zhu Xinyi comfortable.
On the horizon, Khan Temürzüde of Bataar Ulus has been planning. A grand expansion to finish conquering the Ottoman Empire, and to expand into the Revived Xia Dynasty. With the arranged marriage between his oldest daughter, Naran, and Ivan III of the Grand Dutchy of Moscow, he plans to form a great horde with his allies to expand Bataar Ulus as the greatest empire the world has seen.
