Charlotte was found and adopted when she was two years old and grew up as a bit of an oddball because of her red eyes, as children her age were a little scared of her. After it turned out that she was unable to wield magic, she became an outcast, and because students began to tell each other rumors that began to escalate, she was labeled the demon girl. As she didn’t actively fight off these rumors, and a few incidents strengthened these hypotheses, most students don’t like to associate with her. After a depressing childhood, she began to accept her standing more and more and only talked to her family and the founders. She rarely spoke to people from her mother's house during meals. Because of her transformation, she only eats meat, and vegetables taste disgusting to her. She has a nasty scar on her left arm, which heavily affects her own self perception. She would love to use real magic, but can only do so with heavy restrictions. As she doesn’t need to sleep, she spent much time in the library, but after she read everything she wanted, she started to take increadibly long baths to relax. She is well versed in potions, herbology, and beastlore and has read up the whole curriculum to the fourth year. She likes to wear dresses, and it can’t be the same dress twice in a row. She lacks a bit of common sense, as she grew up in Toadwitz and never left the school. She likes to play pranks on her family members and is generally inclined to create some drama. Sometimes she is a bit too impulsive. She wants to become a potion master. She realized that she was immortal when she reached the age of her mother (16 years, 8 months, and 15 days). She still hasn’t really realized what immortality means to her, and she is only slowly realizing what it means that her tears can stop someone's aging process. She has a strong dislike for her adoptive father because he cheated on her adoptive mother. She has a really close relationship with her uncle, who treats her like a daughter and student. She loves her little brother and sometimes takes on the responsibility of an older sister.

Seraphina Nightquill, the daughter and pupil of Albert Nightquill, an esteemed German Magicscholar, was born during her father's extensive travels in Great Britain. Raised in the realm of magic, she accompanied her father on journeys throughout Europe during her youth. Unfortunately, her mother passed away a year after her birth, and due to her father's reticence on the matter, Seraphina remains largely ignorant of her mother's identity.
Under the tutelage of her father, Seraphina acquired proficiency in magic and cultivated skills in structured research from a young age. Tragedy struck at the age of 14 when Albert Nightquill perished during a portal experiment. Left alone, Seraphina embarked on a two-year solitary journey that took a toll on her physical and mental well-being. Her fortunes changed when she encountered Severin Salamand during her travels in Britain. Severin, along with his companions Gregor Lionheart and Helga Humblehill, became integral figures in her life.
Following a conflict with Severin's family, the trio embarked on a global journey. Seraphina forged close partnerships with Severin and Helga but found Gregor's penchant for trouble disconcerting. As they reached the age of twenty, Severin conceived the idea of establishing a school, a vision realized 490 years after Severin's father's demise. Seraphina welcomed the idea, providing her with a stationary environment to conduct extensive magical research.
In the year 491, Seraphina became pregnant by [Undisclosed], giving birth to a daughter named Hellena. Struggling with the absence of maternal guidance and a caring father figure, Seraphina grappled with uncertainty on how to navigate motherhood.
Despite her proficiency in magic, Seraphina harbors an intense shyness in the presence of large crowds. Helga Humblehill, her closest confidante, gifted her a crown that aids her in public speaking engagements.
Notably, Seraphina's groundbreaking research in space and time magic garnered recognition, earning her the accolade of the smartest witch on the planet.
