“You strive to become what I already am. Perfection.”
Project Ninety-Seven is not merely a number, but a name that has defined the entirety of Kyraa’s existence. Conceived with the ambitious goal of creating a chimera capable of real-time evolution, she remains oblivious to the identities and motives of her captors, who are driven by the desire to unlock the full potential of their monstrous creations.
For all her life, Kyraa has been confined to a cage, a life dominated by the bizarre circumstances of her birth as a human-sized insectoid monster. Enduring what feels like months of horrendous experimentation and relentless testing, Kyraa's nightmarish ordeal takes an unexpected turn when her captors decide to abruptly abort her project.
In a swift and unexpected conclusion, the curtain falls on "Project Ninety-Seven" as it is deemed a liability and failure. Kyraa is summarily terminated, discarded, and relegated to the realm of refuse as she is abandoned.
In her last moments she swears to take revenge on her captors, to take revenge on the world that rejected her no matter what it takes. Anything to claim her rightful place in the world. One above the lowly humans.
When Kyraa wakes in the middle of nowhere with her life hanging by a thread, she is given the chance to decide her fate for the first time. How will she move forward and accomplish her goals?
Follow her journey as she carves out a place in the world for her ever-growing family.

Don't be fooled, this is not a nice story where the MC does good despite being bad. Warcrimes will be committed, innocents will be killed, and morals will be trashed.

Story available on RoyalRoad as well! If you find it anywhere else please let me know.
This.... this is interesting. Not to mention the grammar, the story is well put together, and were already given some information in the first chapter in addition to the prologue.
The story takes place in a world that so far has 3 main factions, the governing body of the country (Royal Family), the adventurers/hunters guild, and a shadowy organization called the Brotherhood. We see the Brotherhood the most so far, as they are responsible for creating our MC and doing all sorts of horrid stuff to her. Not to waste any more time, Kyraa is an independent bug with huge potential, so she gets killed by the Brotherhood as a "failure".
Only, she doesn't die.
Now, I want to make it known that I'm usually someone who likes worldbuilding and character development a lot. I can say this world isn't the most unique one but thats because Kyraa is the unique one here. I'm most interested in how she will grow and change as the story progresses.
Overall, interest is piqued. I'm someone who reads in large batches so I wont be back until chapter 50 or so. What I can tell you though is, this has the foundations to be unique and its own story, and in my opinion thats the most important thing a story should have.
Awesome Job, keep it up.

A very interesting story story so far. It works for me even though I don't usually like edgy and evil protagonists; here I can clearly understand where it all comes from. Good job on that.
Staying with MC - Kyraa is an interesting character. I appreciate she's not perfect and makes mistakes, fails and - since we usually sit in her head, seeing her thought process - assumes things incorrectly. There's only one moment where I feel she gets her powers too quickly, but... she also makes a mistake soon after, so it slightly balances it.
I really enjoy the worldbuilding in this story. There's actually quite a lot of information provided in various ways - from different viewpoints to what looks like a historical report. Nice.
Still, not everything is good. Prologue is - in my opinion - the weakest part. Not only does it (and a few other chapters) have weird way of showing dialogue (thankfully changed for better in later chapters - not to mention the author promised to correct it), we also heve the first part where a guy just thinks along the lines "ah yes, this is the heart of the capital, my home, where I lived since blah, blah" which is weird and unnatural to me; luckily it transitions into him reading reports, so this style works better.
Also, we were promised a moth mommy. We've already got the latter part, now just waiting for the former.
So, overall I can recommend, but cannot give it 5 stars. Yet.

This story is a bit interesting and the author did a great job with the worldbuilding and an interesting story about Kyraa the chimera. The only things I have a problem with are the grammar, especially the indents and the spacing between paragraphs. The indents shouldn't be visible at all on the web novel and there needs to be less space between paragraphs. Other than that, it was a good read, and I hope the author keeps up with the great work.
