(A piece of advice, read the story a little before reading this review, as I wrote it angrily after reading the last chapter and I may be exaggerating.)
It started off really interesting, good material for a Naruto FF with a character who doesn't want to be Hokage or is from the Naruto era, but a teacher who wants to train the best students.
But then we have a brutal change from the OG, which can be developed into something interesting or completely destroy the story. (What until now is more focused on the 2nd)
Danzo has under his control a mysterious ninja who according to the MC "is among one of the most powerful in the ninja world". Which with the MC's extremely weak current strength means nothing.
The MC proves to be a good teacher, which is a very positive point, but despite having memories and being a ROOT trained since childhood, he is a terrible ninja, barely being classified as Chunnin, which would be fine as it is the beginning of the story (despite being a trained ROOT) and he has to develop, but between that and Konoha being on the brink of a war and him not being at least aware of the strange things around him to the point of ignoring his "sixth sense" warning him that something is wrong is exaggerated.
What really disappointed me and made me leave, however, was.
He is the teacher of the children of the current patriarchs of the main clans and the future patriarchs of their clans. Danzo sends a troop of assassins to kill these children in a school training field that is in the center of the village next to the Hokage's building (I don't know where this training field is, I know it's close to the school and the school is here) and no one in all of Konoha notices or does anything that's weird as a f*ck.
But we have more, he is a ROOT agent right? He has a command seal right? He's an adult trained since childhood under Danzo's command, right? Despite all this, he doesn't show an ounce of loyalty to him and has a strength level barely at Chunin level, right? So can someone explain to me why Danzo treats this more than replaceable and expendable pawn as if he were the last cookie in the package?
He speaks to Danzo without any respect and even some animosity as an equal and Danzo treats him as a necessary partner in a future venture... According to the author, this is the carrot and stick treatment. Danzo doing this? With an expendable and weak Root ninja? Okay, not for me...

I will not be reading past chapter 17 as the story is not my preferred style. The writing is ok, could be better but could also be way worse. Talking about grammar, sentence structure, spelling, etc. All of the writing is easy to read. The descriptions of the village itself, environments, etc could be done better. Do some research and incorporate descriptions of moves in battle, like hand to hand combat, to help readers imagine the combat more. Some of this does receive benefits because of it being based on a world already existing. If someone is being introduced for the first time it would help. The side characters are very basic at this point, but it could be because of the early condition of the story. The MC is a little off and doesn’t flow naturally with his actions. This current chapters ending (17) doesn’t match well for me with the story due to a certain other person watching the MC as well, and MC is willing to possibly die for... but the chapter ending he is not... it’s a weird personality swap. Don’t want to give out spoilers for those who have not read the story. It’s an ok read at this point but nothing spectacular. For the author, keep writing so you can keep improving! Overall I would say 3.0 out of 5, room for improvement but readable and may be entertaining later.
