Arito Aruze learns of his incurable disease and with the combination of his closest relatives betraying him, he decides to end his life before he can start to suffer. However, as he is reaching his death, an Administrator of the Worlds takes his soul away and offers him (quite forcibly) a reincarnation to another world.
Now, living as [Ancient], Arito secludes himself in a forest, with monsters he tames there. But, the world still has plans with Arito, and the wheels of fate slowly start to turn in a way that takes him back to the light of society. All it takes is one chance encounter.
