Haha, will my last thoughts in this world be a stupid reference? That's a bit comforting, if not at all sad. I was a nerd through and through.
I looked out through the cabin's window and saw the full moon. It was beautiful, illuminating the otherwise pitch-black night. Of course, this light also showed us of our impending doom, but you gotta take what you can get.

It will start out very stereotypically for the first few chapters (for epic fantasy at least). If you can tolerate a couple of seeming tropes (i.e. the Chosen One etc.) for 5 or so chapters, I promise that The Eternal War will diverge into much more interesting storylines. I like writing slow burns, taking my time to establish characters etc., before getting into the exciting bits of a story. I also thoroughly enjoy trying to subvert tropes, although how successful I am with that is up to the individual reader, of course.

I will update the book every day until volume one is complete, and after that, I'll switch to a Wednesday/Saturday release schedule. <<less
