I suspect that he lives in a less urban area. Maybe someday he will tell us more.

Thankfully, guys like BB will brave the wild north, bunkering down during snowstorms, and spending his landlocked isolated days writing fiction for our enjoyment ... which I think we can all agree is appreciated.

The point of a fanfic is to explore how characters would react to different circumstances, and how they would GROW DIFFERENTLY based on those new circumstances.

Welcome back and happy holidays!  I liked what was there but you're right about the overall mood/tone of the story.  Might work better if you go for a morally indifferent/grey MC as opposed to an evil one.

You are correct , but I was thinking outside normal fiction based entities, fanfiction Overgods, Sparked Jumpers, or even literally any entity that played a CYOA and got a total limit break perk. That would mean time is a suggestion, but more importantly, so is the mental integrity and mental continuity of the protagonist. Such beings could literally existence-rape the MC and he could do nothing about it. 

Unless in the future he becomes an existential constant, in which case he probably survives, but in a sorta 'trapped and unable to escape while suffering because you still exist' scenario.

Actually, he would start at the beginning of one single instance. As soon as he hit the point where he dies within that instance, he would not be reset to the next instance and would move on instead.

That one way to go about it. I'm gonna assume some sort of absolute 'upon death move on' regardless of contingencies. I like that.
