So I kind of underestimated how emotionally drained being sick made me, and I can't seem to write anything. I'm not sick anymore... but my creative engines are still in a fugue state. <3 I haven't forgotten my stories, or given up... just gotta shake off a very persistent funk.
Take what time you need to get into a better state, it is better for all if you wait till you are ready rather than push yourself too far and burnout or give up!
New chapters for Mousegirl and Eskame should be here in about a week. Half-Elf: R might skip January. The holidays were far more disruptive than expected, and now I'm sick (I have no idea with what, but I have no appetite and it's hard to focus) so building new backlogs might take longer than usual.
Releases across all of my stories may be sporadic over the next couple of weeks.
My future Mother-in-law was over this weekend, I'm going to be home for the holidays next weekend... I don't have much time to write. But I'm going to try to squeeze in writing when possible. Just a warning, if you don't get updates for a bit I'm fine, just holidays.
Eskame's Grand Adventure Chapters 1 thru 8 have been updated to a revised version. Chapters 9 and 10 now have a notice saying they're in the process of being updated.
A full changelog will be posted with the next main chapter release.
Some previous comments may not sync up with the chapters as the new text was pasted into the old chapters.
Barista's next chapter release probably won't be until November 15th (next Monday at the time of this post). We're rapidly approaching the end of the current arc and that's slowing me down, cuz I want to make sure I'm tying up as many of the scattered plot threads as possible.
(this is probably the last manual announcement I'll make regarding chapter updates, I figure everybody has had a chance to turn their list notifications on by now.)
For Half-Elf readers... I'm struggling a bit on chapter 20, but it's "getting there" so you won't be left waiting a month or anything. Probably gonna release this weekend (unless something crazy happens).
Now that ScribbleHub has reading list alerts (there is a pin on the homepage that'll send you to the forums for info on how to turn it on), should I keep posting release messages here?
I feel like that would be annoying for people, since you'll get a List alert, and a Followed author status update alert
alerts ARE obscure to activate. But now that I've done it, I think I'll leave the feature turned on, even though I don't need it (my bookmark IS to the Reading List page, after all). You're one of the few authors who actually posts an announcement of a new chapter, so SH makes up for that by making new chapters easy to find.
I mean, from what I heard way back, he hates doing series. It was the reason he left the kirby franchise. And he still made a whole 5 smash games. I'm surprised he wasn't done sooner.
