My StatusI'm sure you've all been wondering what I'm up to doing. <3 After completing the editing of arc one, the dream, with the help of Alliterative Arts and Raleon, I've been focusing on my long-term project, my website! It's undergone some major changes lately since I've been changing the focus from being an author's website to a writing community. At the moment, it's in BETA. The biggest barrier is that my javascript and regex are the weakest points in my abilities as a coder. I do my best though and try to learn more as I go, even though it can be very frustrating. XD I don't know if my website will ever be nice and/or big enough to rival ScribbleHub, but for a long time I've been thinking that a site made by me that focuses on things I personally value is a worthwhile way to spend some time, nya! <3 Of course this project will delay my production of Saucery, but I'm certainly going to be doing that. When my website is developed enough, I'll probably upload SuperLuminal there too! Is there a timeframe for when I'll feel I'm done with my site? I'm not 100% of when currently. Nya! One thing leads to the next and there's always something else to work on! XD If you're curious, my website has been moved to this more appropriate brand and name: I'm telling my readers in this way, because not everyone is a follower, and this is the best way to tell everyone my status. Alliterative Arts said that I was dark for too long (meaning not that I'm a goth, LOL), IE: I'm not telling my readers enough about what I'm doing and that I could be sick or burned out for everyone knows. Hopefully this reassures everyone! It's possible to sign up for accounts on my site, and right now the forum I'm working on is very much in a beta state... but you can at least observe progress if you're a bit interested. I don't hide my project behind a "under construction" page. Anyhow, all my love! <3 *purrs* Rellawing <3 |
To fill this out somewhat with some behind the scenes:
"The Great Editing Project (tm-pending)" continues unabated and I'm working my way through Arc 2 (currently working thru 2.06). The chapters are on average much longer at this point so I'm shooting for 1 pass per chapter every 3 days (vs a pass/2 days of Arc 1).
The computationally inclined among you should be able to get out your slide-rules and math out when I should get done with Arc 2 at that pace.
Rella goes through things in batches and will happily post things up once she's done her own pass. I usually have some follow-ups after the fact but those don't get all the fan-fare. We're probably actually on 1.01.4 right now despite what it says up top and we probably still didn't get everything...
Oh well. Such is the price to deliver only the freshest of edits to you all, I suppose.
And yes, that's not a very fast pace from me. Gotta do that full-time used-to-be-in-an office job thing, #dealwithit.
Thanks for updating everyone on the editing end of things, AA! <3
Thank you for the update. I will be taking a look and see what Quill Heaven has available.
*purrs* The story posting is functional, but is not available unless an author is approved (until I figure out how I want to handle that and until it's perfect)
I've been adding javascript editors to the forms in that suite of author's tools.
I need to work on alot of things in between the lines that don't work yet. Forum posting works in one thread for now (until I write the code to insert new threads). It's progressing and I hope looks good. The goal is to make the site look nice and be functional. The story reading mode is like... 80% done... I say that because I was thinking about paginating chapters, but that's tricky business >.> And then there's also the font changing of stories to suit the needs of readers... '^^ Very easy to do for my skill-level in Javascript, but I keep putting that on a back-burner... '^^
