Condition of using spells
  • Have sufficient MP.
       
  • If using spells from the skill tree.
    • Equipped with a Wand, Rod, Staff, or Magic Tome.
    • Imprinted the spell model, and invest skill points to learn the spell.
    • Chant the keyword. Can be said with the thought, but the spell name must be said out loud.
      • ex: "O Fire, burn my enemies! Fireball!"
    • Dynamic skill level. The user can adjust the spell level they want to use.
      • ex: Learned Fireball Lv10, but used only Lv5 to shorten the cast time.
    • Unlimited activation.
         
  • If using spells from the equipment.
    • No restriction on weapons used. Can casts the spells while equipped with a sword.
    • No chant is needed, but the spell name must be said out loud.
    • Fixed skill level. The user cannot adjust the spell level they want to use.
      • ex: Hecate can use Waterbolt spell from the Ring of Aqua, but it was fixed at Lv5. 
    • Limited to a few number of activation.
         
  • If using Spell Scrolls.
    • Just activate the scrolls by tapping the hotkey, or rip the scrolls manually.
    • The spells will not activate if the user did not have sufficient MP.
    • Fixed skill level, the same as using a skill from the equipment.
    • Spell Scrolls are consumable items.

Difference of Wand, Rod, Staff, and Magic Tome
  • Wand: About a knife length.
    • Fast cast time, but low power.
    • Cast time decreased by ~10%, Spell efficiency increased by 0~10%.
      ­   
  • Rod: About a sword length.
    • Moderate cast time and power.
    • Normal cast time, Spell efficiency increased by 10~20%.

  • Staff: About a spear length.
    • Long cast time, but high power.
    • Cast time increased by ~100% or higher, Spell efficiency increased by ~50% or higher.

  • Magic Tome: A book contains a lot of spell models.
    • If there is no conflict with the Jobclass, these spell models can be imprinted into the skill tree, which can then be invested with skill points.
    • If the book is equip-able, the user can use the spells in the book for a limited number of activations per day, regardless of job class. (Equipment skills).
    • In an emergency, the page in the book with the spell model written on it can be torn to activate the spell instantly (this is like using Spell Scrolls).
      • MP consumption still occurs normally.
      • The ripped page can't be restored.

Spell cast time and cooldown

Base time:

  • Tier 1 (Mage spells)
    CT: 0.1 sec × SkillLv ⇒ (Lv1 = 0.1 sec; Lv10 = 1 sec)
    CD: 2 secs.
    • Bolt type spells (Firebolt, Waterbolt, Coldbolt, Thunderbolt, ...)
    • Stone Spike, Wind Slash, ...

  • Tier 2 (Wizard or Witch spells)
    CT: (0.5 sec × SkillLv) + (2 × (SkillLv-1)) ⇒ (Lv1 = 0.5 sec; Lv10 = 23 secs)
    CD: 1.5 sec × SkillLv.
    • Flame Lance, Water Vapor, Ice Barrage, Wind Barrage, ...
      ­    
  • Tier 3 (Archwizard or Archwitch spells)
    CT: (1.5 sec × SkillLv) + (60 × (SkillLv-1)) ⇒ (Lv1 = 1.5 sec; Lv10 = 555 secs)
    CD: 3 secs × SkillLv
    • Vermillion Blast, Tidal Wave, Earthquake, Cyclonic Storm.
      • The one Hecate used is only Lv1, so the cast time is still low.

  • Tier ??
    • Death Sentence (Lv1) - CT: instant; CD: ???.
    • Mana Explosion (Lv1) - CT: 1 minute; CD: ???.
         

Reduction:

  • Shadow Walker shoes reduced the skill cooldown by (UpgradeLv)%.
    • ⇒ (+5 Shadow Walker = -5%)
  • Wand type weapon reduced the cast time by 10%.
  • Every 3 DEX reduced the cast time by 0.1 sec.
  • Every 5 DEX reduced the cooldown by 0.1 sec. 
    • Hecate's current DEX is (1 + 24)
      • ⇒ Cast time reduction by 0.83 sec.
      • ⇒ Cooldown reduction by 0.5 sec.
           

Spell Scrolls did not have cast time or cooldown.
