Chapter 1 - Unlocking The System

After spending time trying to pick up the language, I managed to learn some basic things. The language seems to be called English, and I'm in a country called Australia.

My name is apparently Charlotte, which sounds like a girl’s name, but, there’s a chance that in this world, it’s a boy’s name. I'm that I'm a boy, with a small genital. There's no way I'm a girl right? I've never actually checked since I'm too small, and I can barely walk. 

I have short brown hair and red eyes, and not to be narcissistic, but I look kind of cute. Babies are quite cute.

From what I have observed, this world was much more developed than my previous world, which is good in a sense, but it’ll definitely take some time to adapt. I’ve seen things like a ‘Tee-vee’ and ‘smart-fone,’ which were beyond magecraft. A ‘smart-fone’ didn’t seem to use any magic, but it was capable of long-distance communication, which was amazing compared to my previous world.

There’s so much to explore in the world. This world is definitely entertaining. I’ve also seen big metal creatures launching spells reaching at least class 9 on the 'tee-vee', and there are only 12 classes; I’ve personally only reached class 10 in my previous life before getting killed.

Anyways, enough talking about the new world. It seems my 3rd birthday is today, which means, the system should activate any time now…

Alright, I’ll just ignore that as an error and focus on the main point. Skill points; what are they and how do I use them? Also, what does the ‘otherworldly powers(1)’ skill do?

[Skill points are gained from doing quests, which randomly generates. You can use skill points to help you grow your skills, or obtain other skills. The skill ‘otherworldly power(1)’ allows you to use your power from your previous life for 1 minute, at half the power, with a 24-hour cooldown.]

This… feels complicated. Considering everything, I guess it’s beneficial, but, it also feels like I’m being manipulated like before.

“Lotte! Diner's ready!”

Ohhh! Dinner; dinner should help calm me down. Food always helps, and mom's cooking is the best. Let’s think about everything later.

I slowly crawl towards the kitchen, away from the couch and 'tee-vee.'
