"So let's review," Zeel said for the umpteen time in the past six months of scavenging the world over and over "What do we know about gods?"

"New Gods are gods who just came to power, Old gods are billions of years old and are nearly extinct based on the knowledge from Lorien," Alice recounted skipping a few details since they all shared the same memories.

"Yeah, there are many types of gods: Gods who draw power from another god's domain, a domain belonging to an extinct god, or a domain that has not been claimed by any god. These guys are called Domain Gods.

Then there are gods who are a step more powerful, ones who were born with or create a domain unique to themselves.

Now they can draw the power from some hidden place that houses all God's power in the multiverse which is extremely safe but they will never be able to control it?

I don't really recall since Lorien doesn't know where such a place is either," Elizabeth said smashing her head on a table.

So Alice picked up her slack "Yeah, so they make their domain and send it to a 'Vault of Gods' place that exists outside any universe.

Or they make their domains into divine cores which can only be broken by other gods but never totally extinguished, hence they can never really die, just be put on ice for a couple of thousand years or so.

Then they are many more gods but the strongest being those who draw their energies from a Cosmic Force. But they're so rare and instead usually end up being manipulated by the Cosmic Force instead,"

"Awesome! That's about all we know for now but a couple of facts can be surmised from this, they're rankings amongst gods: new gods are unstable if not watched over, gods without divine cores can be killed, and lastly, avoid fighting with gods where you can stand out, or in front of mortal races. It means that the universe will possibly eject you into the abyss – a domain of nothingness," Zeel summarized all they learned from Lorien until now.

"Ugh, now that everything is done with, what do we have? Another boring class of sorts?" Elizabeth voice out while slouching over the office chair, clearing showing her discontent.

Elizabeth seemed like a child in class who was not willing to learn anything. Alice and Zeel smiled wryly since they too had become bored over the past six months of making no progress.

Alice shrugged "Better safe than sorry, but we have an activity planned for tonight,"

Alice and Elizabeth were a bit excited since they finally convinced Zeel to take them on a regular date. Zeel was known for his efficiency and would often settle for sex, having the girls play with the Forbidden Cube and mindscape dates.

2 Hours Later

The trio were heading to a skating ring, courtesy of Alice's love for a mundane lifestyle.

Music was playing, kids running around pulling their parents along, girls having dates with their high school crushes; a very intoxicating, peaceful environment lingered in the air.

The atmosphere was filled with the seven desires and virtues of men.

And for a brief moment, Alice felt like everything was worth it, but she quickly snapped out of her daze.

Alice and Elizabeth looked around, partly in yearning, but mostly in resignation.

"We have already left that world behind, we can't stay anywhere wilfully for too long without sufficient strength," Zeel mentioned while holding their hands walking towards the ring, ignoring the looks of discontentment from the surrounding males.

Alice and Elizabeth knew that associating with Zeel meant leaving such a world behind if they weren't strong enough, but a girl yearns every once in a while.

"I know, but we can still dream," Alice replied with a melancholic voice, to which Elizabeth sped up her footsteps pulling them along.

Anytime things seemed to be going south, Elizabeth would always try her best to pull them north instead. Elizabeth often found herself being the glue that held Alice and Zeel together.

Jumping on the ice, dragging both Zeel and Alice with her, Elizabeth willed the bottom of their boots with skis made fully of ice – one of her lesser-used elements.

Elizabeth had mastered her lighting element over the last couple of months in this new universe, now she wanted to focus on ice but Zeel and Alice were against it.

Could mastering an element be considered complete without being able to fly with it?

The trio then began twirling, dancing, and just plain having fun, the chemistry present between the three of them had only improved as Zeel had truly begun to accept Elizabeth as one of his own.

There was always a thin barrier between them due to their sexual relationship before developing any feelings, but that barrier had begun to dwindle over the last few months in this new Universe.

The strong feelings of like present amongst them were almost palpable.

Suddenly, Elizabeth had an idea that would make this a day worth remembering for centuries to come.

"Maybe, we can't experience all the wonders of life right now, but we can make the world a little bit more beautiful for those around us," Elizabeth said as she separated from Alice and Zeel and began spinning rapidly in place.

Then above in the skies, it soon began to snow, with snowflakes shaped like hearts falling from the storm above; Elizabeth could be heard giggling after she stopped her spinning saying "See a little more beautiful for the children, so their love can be as memorable as this day, even if it doesn't last,"

Alice made a bright smile before waving her hand causing all the snowflakes to become frozen in place.

Then with a quick flicker of code across her pupils, Alice identified all the couples in the entire park and sent a heart-shaped snowflake to each and every one of them.

Each snowflake was carved with the names of the couples. This was the first time Alice found a use for the nanites computational ability that was so beautiful.

Zeel deciding to join the fun waved his hand in the air creating an aurora made primarily of red and white; red for beauty and perfection, and white for new beginning just as they mean in the language of roses – a language that was long lost to his civilization.

Zeel had complex feelings since this Aurora reminded him of someone, but he could not identify who. Perhaps that knowledge had also been locked away in the Forbidden Cube.

Zeel chucked to himself, not realizing for a moment he really thought of how nice it would be to settle down.

Not seeking gratification in emotions, his probably long-dead family, and instead relying on just himself and his lovers.

His heart softened by about 1%, a fact noticed by both Alice and Elizabeth who signaled each other with thumbs up – getting Zeel to soften up was a harder task than saving a world.

However, all good things must come to an end.

The MBeamers on their wrist began flaring up, indicating the group could finally find the energy signature that they have been searching for over the past six months.

"Time to work for a living," Zeel said as he recounted his favorite phrase before taking up any job. It reminds him that you always have to work to survive.

The softness he just exuded was all but extinguished, Elizabeth and Alice could only sigh in disappointment as they followed him along.
