...If you love memes, cute tree spirits and general random chaos fueled by weed and soda, then you, my friend, have come to the right place.]
Wait. Did I just read that dwarfs loved in the forest and the elves live in the mountains and love forging?
exactly...
I went Oh as well there.
For being supposedly ‘genre-savy’, Day is grasping the idiot-ball super tight. At least he’s realizing his character is more complex than he originally thought, but to NOT connect ‘amnesia-protag’ with some super OP background. Shame on him.
Also, I love how he straight rejects any possibility of life being more complex than he thinks while having experience with reincarnation, for ‘pretending’ to be the dense protagonist, he’s doing a lot of it naturally. In a different field sure, but still. SMH
Meh. I can't say much for the first since there are spoilers for next chapter. But really it's a lack of information. He hasn't even played that game and there wasn't any indication for her being OP or her family being OP even if he did. Which she isn't anyway but again spoilers.
Second thing tho....well really it's a situation of life saying, "here's what's gonna go down buddy. First you'll--"
And him being, "haha f*ck that cheese."
Boy already knows what he wants. Doesn't matter to him what he is or is expected to do. Rather than rejecting his life is complex he's just rejecting the responsibility thrust on him for just being what he is? He got himself into the whole angel thing so he's dealing with it for Minnie and Evie's sake. But people trying to push more responsibility on top of that....yeah nah.
Well. Cupcake isnt he also denying reality? He thinks he is within a game. I mean yea he might be in a game world or happens to be in a parallel world that is just like the game. But he turns away from reality of his situation by saying it's all a game. Unhealthy mentality.
Or maybe as he says he is crazy. But then is he really crazy if he can say he is crazy? I mean does a crazy person know they are crazy? Cause wouldn't that mean they arent cause a crazy person wouldn't think they are crazy.
@LtBeefy oh dont get me wrong he's certainly insane. Heh. But as for the other thing, really its a game only when its convenient for him. He's rather selective? Its pretty impossible for you to determine who he'll take a liking to and who he'll still consider an NPC with a smart AI. He's prone to impulse too which makes things even more chaotic.
The reasons he's like that will be known later on tho.
I always feel weird talking about things like this. Since i consider them "real characters". I create them, their backgrounds and personalities, but past that i dont feel i have much control over them. I just present situations and let them do as their established egos dictate they do. Or show how they would, or do, feel about certain things.
Which, i believe, is the right sort of mindset when making stories.
Oo, be interesting to learn why he is how he is. Always love background. well sometimes. When it fits.
@CupcakeNinja Ah, that was my mistake, I immediately associated the "Little Goddess" with amnesia protag, so just automatically subbed 'sickly' with 'OP'. (Even though there is a meme-level useless Goddess).
And for the second thing, okay. I kinda understand now. I was reading Day's dialogue/reactions to 'lore-dumps' more "an atheist's denial of God", rather than "Watev' buddy, still don't care, bye~~ ". And actually rereading it, I dunno know why. Maybe because he's 'laser-focused' while I'm a completionist. I love me some side-quests.
