The silence was defeaning, she continued to stare at me with her eyes as if she was examining my reaction to her earlier words. 

Honestly my mind was still in turmoil, it was taking my all to keep my calm in this situation right now but there are matters that need to be taken care of right now and so I clenched my hands in silence

I swallowed my saliva as I readied my next question.

"Why cant we go back to our world ?, you Gods were able to take us from there so it should be possible to go back right" I asked, a little agitation traced in my voice

She glanced at me then said

"Its impossible"

"But why!?" I screamed at her indifference

"Brother Tempus is the God of Space" she stated

"And Brother Raum is the God of Time"

'What the? why has she gone on a tangent' despite my confusion she continued on

"Both of them worked together to create a rift in space-time connecting to your world 'Earth' "

"Without them we wouldnt be able to summon champions but... guess who else has that power"

'Who else...?!'

"Dont tell me!?" I exclaimed as realization dawned upon me, my face riddled with frustration

"It seems you've realized fool, Brot- Aurelio also has that power that is why he can also summon altereds, the Irelian King have also mentioned this before"

"Your world is a special place, it does not have mystical energy nor divinity present in it, that is why it is easy for us Gods to create rifts in space connecting to it because we have divinity"

"But that is not the case for you champions or any other living being outside of earth for that matter because you have gained something after coming here"

'I gained something?'

After thinking for a bit, I got the answer right away

"Arcane energy..."

"That is correct, your body, soul and your very being has adapted to the energy of another world which is Arcane in this situation"

"But... that doesnt explain why we cant go back!?, you said its easy for you to make rifts, so it means that we can just go through one to go back right?"

"Fool, I said we "Gods" can because we have divinity but that is not the case for you mortals"

"Earth is surrounded by a filter in space time that rejects any type of mystical or foreign energy, and that filter can only be bypassed by divinity, that is also the reason why your world doesnt have any mystical energy in the first place"

"Now imagine if you were to go through a rift leading to your world, once you go through it you'll be ejected from the channel then be transported into a whole other space or worse, the void" she then paused, knowing that she had already explained all the facts necessary for me to understand the inevitability of my reality

I sat there processing all that she had said, I looked at her expression still indifferent and cold, I hoped that what she said was all a lie but once I looked into her eyes that seemed to expose all my doubts, anxieties and fear, I knew in that moment that what she had said was true.

'I had my doubts after the King told his story, he never mentioned about the remaining champions going back to their world after sealing Aurelio...'

It was starting to sink in within my mind the fact that we cant go back anymore, the life that I had led in Earth wouldnt be called special or anything of the sort but I was satisfied with how I lived there with my friends, my..family but now Im forced to fight a war on a world that is not my own.

I thought I would feel enraged once I knew the truth, throwing complaints to the ones responsible for bringing us here to this world but the only thing that I had felt at this moment was..resignation as I stared at the endless white scenery until she spoke again..

"Fool, though I have said that it is impossible to go back through rifts doesnt mean there are no other ways but just that said methods have not been found as of yet. We will not stop any of you if you ever attempt to go back to your world but first you must face the problem at hand"

'Is she trying to cheer me up? that's one bad way of cheering someone up if I ever heard one’ I chuckled at the thought, even though she seemed like a really cold person

 "Wait.., why do we have to defeat Aurelio first before we find ways of going back, ... well except for the reason of our impending deaths, of course" I interjected as what she had stated was weird in itself, if the Gods weren't going to interfere with us, then what's stopping us from obeying their request in the first place, we could just forsake our duties and try to find a way back even though it might seem pointless, that's just how selfish people are in nature in my opinion

She paused then said

"Remember that Aurelio can also create rifts" I nodded at her words

"That is because he ate some of our divine power or authority when he invaded Foleria with Cabal energy in order to bring 'true end' "

"You have been told by the Ilerian King that his goal ends with this world's destruction but that isn't the truth" she stated as a matter of fact

'Wait... So what's his goal then?'

"True end for him doesnt end with this world, after he gained awareness of other worlds, his gluttony had grown unsatiable ever so more..." She said in a grimm tone

The atmosphere in the area which was still had turned tense by the minute

'I dont like where this is going'

"As I said before Earth is a special place with a filter, by amassing great amounts of divinity we are able to create rifts in that place but Aurelio can't do that because he does not have complete divinity after creating Cabal energy unlike us "

"That is why if he ever succeeds in invading Foleria, the first thing he's going to do is open a rift,... leading to your world"

I slammed the round table as I stood up fuming as she said those words

"You have to be kidding me! Dont f*ck with me, why would he ever want to invade ours?! Its nothing to him, like you said it doesnt have any mystical energy so why!?” I glared at her, discerning wether she had any other motive behind telling me all of this

She also stared at me, unwavering behind my unfounded rage

"Its exactly because it has nothing that it is a perfect host for Cabal energy to enroach, creating rifts to other worlds is very limited due to how divinity is also limited even if he devoured all of ours but if he manages to enroach your world, he will be able to alter the filter surrounding it"

"That filter is unique to your world which functions to keep out foreign energy coming from all the worlds out there which also means that Earth has a connection to those worlds as well, and Aurelio knows this"

"Once he alters that filter, he will be able to open rifts anywhere he likes, no world out there will be safe from his hunger until there is nothing left...so now you understand your true predicament" she glanced at me

It was like being shot in head, I thought I knew what I was facing until I realized that we were way in over our heads , I was clueless of the real implication of why we were called here.. If we fail to stop this a**hole from eating this world, then not only Foleria will be destroyed but ours too

" Two worlds..no.. all worlds are resting on our sorry a*s shoulders.." I whispered particularly to the ever expanding white world
