Many if not some of those Original Characters will have a different backstory, slightly different personalities, you could argue they will bound to be out of character a bit, probably, I rarely read Marvel comics or western comics in general, so I just rely on the wiki but I do my best to write their character as canon as possible, which is hard because they are all YANDERE, SHE YANDERE, HER CHARACTER IS YANDERE, THEY ARE ALL YANDERE!
They are bound to be out of character, y'know.
Also, there's NO WAY my MC will have a thot/hoe as a love interest. So, MJ thottery personality will never happen or appear in the series.

I enjoy writing strong female characters as the MC love interest.
This is why the four of the top 10 strongest female mutants is on the love interest list. Because I like their character and beautiful appearance design (some of the artwork at least) enough to consider them as a potential love interest.
Although most of the MC love interest I have chosen is because they have some romantic relationship or once go on a date with Peter Parker, for example, Gwen, MJ, Black Cat, Silver Sable, Silk/Cindy Moon. Captain Marvel/Carol.
Or has a crush on Peter Parker for example Jessica Jones.
Or has the potential to be the best love interest but never given the chance, you can easily guess who she is, Ursula Volodymirovich.

Although she, Ursula Volodymirovich doesn't show to have a superpower or mentally strong character like MJ, and that's the best part. She can be mostly an OC character. She can be whatever I want her to be.
There are other Peter Parker love interests but I don't find them interesting enough or not familiar with their character backstory (not even looking up their wiki).

Originally, I heavily dislike writing or even reading fanfiction of Susan Storm becoming a love interest for any character besides Elastic Man or Richard Reed.
I ship those two hard, only because I watch the movie. Lol, I know I'm a casual fan.
Also because It's a bit too NTR for my taste. Like taking Hinata from Naruto or MJ from peter or Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter.
But I could write it enough to make it acceptable for my taste to make it less of NTR or stealing a love interest from an innocent character.
Yes, I received great trauma damage when I unintentionally discover NTR.
But only if you guys are interested in it or not overwhelmingly against it.

Potential love interest because I can't guarantee they will ever happen, I could change my mind, thinking X amount of love interest is enough.

You will probably won't see a female character in this series, or at least normal love interest. They are all a bit crazy in their head.
This series heavily revolve around Yandere love interest.

I personally think the less love interests, the better. It feels more special and less gary stu that way
Right now im excited of thinking of writing their character and all of those ideas and possibility. But I could change my mind and make the limit of love interest to 4 to x amount.
I am more worried of writing love interest character with little depth equilvalent of cardboard character than risking of writing the MC as Gary Stu.
The former is more likely to happen and will hurt the series more. But this series is for fun and im not making money. So i more likely to risk it to a higher degree.
Edit: I mean you can at those harem stories in this website or anywhere else. The more love interest, the less likely all of those love interest have decent writing depth. Although, generally those harem are smut or hentai writing or some boring ass cliche japanese protagonist harem.

The author should start improving his writhing, before stocking all these harem members in line. There are too many long rants that could be shorter and sometimes even repeats himself. The way the story is going either the readers or the author will get tired of the story before the second love interest shows. Also as I already mentioned, how the duck can there be multiple love interests if one or more are possessive/yandere? They would kill each other to keep any rival away. Only way I can see is if MC destroys them with s*x without finishing himself, then finishes with other aid and they find someone to double or triple team MC or something.

I thought I already answer this question, no? They are soft yandere, they are not the type to murder the MC loved one (his parents) just because they are in their way.
Are they tempted to go stabby stabby mode? It depends the love interest and the people who are blocking their way, but in most case, almost never the innocent let alone the people that Carl love and care for.
I don't want to write a mental deranged love interest who think their own biological daughter/children is a threat to their love.
That is way tooo dark and horror genre to my liking.
So if you want to know how they gonna win Carl over when he has someone he love. Through the good ol fashion way, wooing a man even if he has a girl, or married.
They may or may not tooth knock out and little bit blood spilled but never life threatening.... Probably.
