FATE STATUS : SS HEROIC ( SCION )
A walking tank, that’s what Victor would have named him if Tom was his son. Such status at level 11 is amazing, even in the family, such geniuses would be granted elite status.
But the real problem with Tom is his Fate. A lot of geniuses die early, but people like Tom live for a long time.
Victor knew his fate would be at least an S. People call individuals with such fates ‘Scion’, they are the children of destiny. The one who destroyed Victor’s family back then was one of them.
If this world was a movie, they would be the hero who would get all the girls, all the money, and all the cool powers. They would dodge bullets and leave the scene of a battle without a speck of dust on his clothes.
Scions can be good or bad, Heroes or Devils. The choice is theirs and everyone else has to pay the price.
The only way to get rid of a Scion who wants to kill you is to escape and hide from him and wait, someday he would be bored of this mundane world and find another place to wreak havoc onto. He is a force of nature.
Very few succeeded in defeating, and fewer remained alive after defeating them, As fate and luck are always with them.
Once upon a time, a country decided to defeat one with a nuke, but for some reason, it kept being delayed, and when they were able to launch it was too late, The scion had a way to neutralize it by then.
Nowadays those guys are just considered geniuses. But later the world would come to know their strengths and amazing powers, organizations would flock to get them in their ranks.
Watching Tom blow the candles on his cake, Victor remembered his past life. He met Tom for the first time at the elite school, where both of them attended the special class made for players.
Tom, was amazing and kept getting stronger day after day. Every year he would return from his summer vacation after conquering some dungeons or defeating some powerful enemy. And the girls around him kept increasing too. There was even a certain female teacher who fell in love with him and Victor heard that she left school to be Tom’s full time maid.
After school Victor no longer heard of him, until the reckoning, where he saw him in the news. Tom who was supposed to be an old man by then was still looking valiant and young as he did back in school.
He seemed to join a player organization, which became later one of the major powers in the world and rivaled the hidden families and sects.
After that Victor would get glimpses of Tom’s ‘greatness’ every now and then. The last time he saw him was before he used the book of Time. Tom at that time was going to get married to a princess in the royal family.
Now Looking at his “SS Heroic” fate ranking, all these feats can be expected.
Now Victor has to get rid of such an individual as that is the only way he would be able to completely get the twins, but for him, it was not a problem of possibility, but opportunity. His Fate Weaver class would not let him be swept away. on the contrary, he is now their nemesis. and they are now his prey.
Victor's plan is already on track. And Tom’s path for greatness would become his, that is if he played his cards correctly.
Yeah... that kind of fate is a double edged sword... individuals such as that need a natural preditor or they will wreck havock in the world...
Every ying needs a yang after all...
I'm pretty sure that they are there own worse enemy since the only way to permanently kill a Protagonists is with another Protagonists. The fate weaver is more like a human with a gun and the Protagonists Are like small animals that harassing them
@Not_the_stick unless their literal fate plot armor ensures that both parties of a Protag x Protag showdown walk away mostly unharmed
Wait, aren't they the same age, since Tom seems to be in the same class as the twins? How the hell is he level 11 already?
I want to know too author
To be fair, it did mention the orb was only one way to become a player. Tom could’ve been born one or otherwise been one for years at this point.
Ah, now I get it, this novel seems to be giving of "I am the fated villain" Vibes. These favored sons of heaven shall be the nutritions to our boy Victor.
this guys are like manga protAgonists
Can he improve his fate or is it completely gone?
Fate is ever changing,
@Akaichi Mysterious I see. Was just confused. When he used his eye ability thingy he was greyed out. I assumed that was because of him having no fate. But at the same time his class status said that his fate is E++ (raising) or something. Maybe he has a fate but others fate don't influence him?
@Magoth That's exactly how it is. His fate affects the good chances he gets in life, and his class makes other's fate has no effect on him. And he got tired because his level is to low to see the threads of fate.
200 years is a long time in human perspective so I wonder how this would really play out, would his mind evolve and look at all of this with indifference or follow the same route?
To be honest, what i dont want in power type novels are things like having the power to control fate, time and space, and luck
Why? Because plot holes
Add Mind Control to that list. Having someone who is completely loyal to someone simply switch sides for no explicable reason is another massive plothole generator as well as invalidates character development.
@Salokin yep
Tftc
Hehehehe
😈😈
Didn’t the MC go to ordinary average people high school like it was said in one of the earlier chapters now he originally went to elite player high school? He doesn’t have to know everybody author-san he could have a suspicion and just analyse to confirm
