Rimu took all the items she brought to her room and got to work. She plugged the LCD, the keyboard, the mouse, and the adapter cable into the Raspberry according to her memories from the seminar. Then she plugged the other side of the adapter cable along with LCD power cable into the electric socket in the room.
She inserted the SD card and booted up the Raspberry. Riku and Kouta watched her act from the sidelines.
"Hey Kouta, what is she doing? Do you have any ideas?" Riku whispered.
"Don't ask me." Kouta shook his head helplessly. After their adventure in the city, he was mentally exhausted.
Seeing the tattered state of Kouta, Riku expressed his condolences.
"Since you're here anyway, let's play PES1Pro Evolution Soccer downstairs."
"Oh? Which one?"

Rimu couldn't help but be excited.
’To think I was successful on the first try. I'm so smart, right? I'm a genius, right?'
Well, all she had to do was plug in the cables and push the power button. Even novices could do that. However, her excitement quickly cooled down after she found out the most important thing.
Her mini-PC was not connected to the internet.
"SYIIIIIITTTT....!!" Rimu flopped to the floor depressingly.

Downstairs Riku and Kouta played PES in the living room. Rimu went downstairs and glanced at the screen. Ostrich team vs penguin team. Watching the ostriches dribbling the ball and shooting it into the goal, as well as their victory pose made her expression turn weird.
'What the ? did I just see?!'
A second later, she understood as she recalled her memories.
'...So, that's the legendary costume in PES? Well, I never touched that genre so it's unrelated to me.'
Rimu opened the fridge and took out a bottle of milk, her mind wandered as she thought about how to access the internet from her current situation.
'Just making a computer is not enough. I need internet access. But how to get it?'
The easiest method was to break into her father’s study and unplug the ethernet cable from his PC. But that was just courting death.
The second one was to set up dial-up internet. But this also spelled trouble. The telephone bill would skyrocket the moment she started browsing the internet and her parents would give her a smack to the head.
"Haaah...."
Rimu sighed, she decided to leave this problem for later.
Riku had noticed her sigh and stopped playing. He approached her with a concerned look.
"Do you have something troubling you, Rimu?"
"Hmm... Nah, don't worry about it, Riku. It's nothing."
"Is that so...? By the way, I bought two cakes from Angel Whiff, I've put your share in the fridge. After all, I did promise yesterday."
Hearing his words, Rimu's eyes sparkled.
"Angel Whiff?! Thank you, Riku! I love you! ♥"
Looking at her excited reaction, Riku couldn't help but be happy.
'I sacrificed a lot of my allowance to buy this cake, but it's worth it just for this smile.'
Without further ado, Rimu opened the refrigerator and took out the cake box. She opened the box and her eyes locked on the nicely decorated white cake.
With gentle movements, she sliced the cake with a knife but as she was about to put it in her mouth, her hand suddenly stopped. She looked at the piece of cake in her hand. Her expression went pale as she realized something.
'This cake is the main reason I became fat!'
Her previous life’s appearance appeared in her mind.
An ugly fat midget was overlapping with the appearance of the cake in her hand.
'No! I must not eat this. Let's refuse and give it back to Riku.'
Riku, still smiling on the side, was waiting for Rimu to finish the cake.
Looking at his expression, Rimu lost her chance to refuse.
"Umm, eh, Riku? Can you not stare at me like that? It's kinda embarrassing, you know?" Rimu fidgeted.
'At least please go away so I can pretend that I have eaten the cake...'
"Huh? Why? We have known each other for so long, what is there to be embarrassed about? We even bathe together every day."
Rimu only froze as she heard Riku's response,
'Duh, this shota is a pain in the butt! ...Oh well… It can't be helped...'
She looked at the cake once again and made up her mind.
'Itadakimasu... Hello fat! Bonjour calories!' ( ಥ﹏ಥ )
There is no other choice than to bite the bullet.
Rimu clenched her teeth and ate the cake tearfully. She painstakingly swallowed her tears and continued chewing the cake while muttering "Delicious." in a low crying voice...
Looking at her, Riku pondered.
'Is the cake really that delicious that people can cry? I ate it a little while ago but isn’t the excessive, though?'
Rimu was forced to eat all of the cake while she was crying inside her mind. She engraved a new task in her heart.
'I must burn down these calories to maintain my loli body!'

Like the story so far. I just hope the mc tries to better her relationship with her brother for the future and possible takes a bit of an advantage of the fact that he is "as smart as he is". Always nice to have some form of "backing" later on in life, especially familial backing, i guess. xD
She should definitely also try to maintain her appearance, as it seems she isn't really all that "inferior" on that front, as long as she doesn't neglect it again.
