The Sports Building became livelier after Rimu joined in.
"HA!! HAA!!! HA!! SEI!! HAA!!"
All club members enthusiastically practiced their kihon with all their might. The male instructor, Kagenue Eidou, observed them on the side while folding his arms. On his face was a satisfied smile.
"Kayoko-shihan, you have done a good job!" Eidou praised her.
"Uh... yeah, thank you, Kagenue-sensei." Kyoko replied to him with a conflicted look.
She looked at the main reason for the club members’ enthusiasm. In her view, a loli next to the line of students was imitating their practice with serious look. She was the only one who wore casual clothes while others had their uniforms.
"Eiya! Eiii! Funya!! Eiiya!"
The loli, Nekomiya Rimu, did her best to practice her kihon while observing the other club members. However, all her moves lacked power and did not intimidate at all.
From Kayoko’s point of view, Rimu's moves were completely trash. She couldn't help but compare her to Riku. Her twin brother was so quick on the uptake and learned very fast. Alas, he didn't have any interest in karate, or else he would've surpassed her by now.
If Riku was half the effort twice the result, then Rimu was the opposite, twice the effort half the result!
However, Rimu's presence provided an unexpected benefit. Just by standing there she could motivate every club member and make them take the practice more seriously.
'Well, looking bad in front of a junior is the last thing those adolescent boys wanted. Especially if she is a cutie.'
Kyoko sighed in resignation.

Riku walked toward a certain section in the library. He had skipped his Soccer Club practice today to investigate something. He stopped at the computer related shelves and browsed every book by flipping through them once. After some time, he found it.
"Raspberry Pi? So, this is what Rimu bought yesterday with Kouta. She wants to build a computer?"
At lunch break earlier, he had asked Kouta about their early leave yesterday, but he didn't want to answer. From Kouta's point of view, their adventure yesterday was a special secret between him and Rimu. There was no need for a 3rd person to know.
Riku closed the book and started thinking. Not a single store in Kusanagi City that sold Raspberry Pi.
'This kind of thing is not something you can buy here. They must have gone to another city!
How reckless! What if something bad had happened to them?'
Even though Kouta didn't disclose the details, Riku could deduce the truth.
'As for that TV, it didn't seem new, so it must have been secondhand, or perhaps they picked it up from the garbage or something. Why the did Kouta let her touch something so filthy!?'
Riku put back the book to the shelves and left the school library.

The Professor, Nekomiya Seigo, announced in front of his peers. He stood beside a capsule with various cords plugged in.
"This technology will be named Medicuboid1 https://swordartonline.fandom.com/wiki/Medicuboid! This machine can be used to stimulate the patient's brain to regenerate faster, allowing people to heal their injuries in a short time. This is a revolutionary technology!" Seigo proudly declares.
A female researcher raised her hand and asked.
"Professor, is this really alright?"
"Hmm? Oh, of course, this Medicuboid is still in the experimental stage, it's still far from perfect. After we do a few experiments with lab rats, I am confident we can perfect it so it could be used by humans." Seigo explained.
However, his explanation didn't soothe her woes at all.
"Professor, that name is already used. Won't we get into trouble if we used that name?" She asked again.
"What!? Someone has already created the Medicuboid?"
Seigo was shocked, how come someone had surpassed him in medicine. To think there was another genius surpassing him in this world. He couldn't help but be impressed.
"Well, no. But the name is already used. Our technology is the first."
"Ah, is that so." Seigo's enthusiasm cooled down, 'Damn, give back my excitement.'
"It's just a name anyway, not really important. let's just go with the Medical Pod."
Seigo said expressionlessly and left the lab. At last he had finished his part and now was the time for him to return home. He didn’t care for the rest of the experiment.
"Mii, Riku, Rimu, I'll be back!"
yea that must really suck when your 'twin' brother is much smarter than you are.. this inferiority complex is not unfounded.
I honestly feel bad for the MC when she is 'supposedly' this inferior, even worse when everyone will most likely compare the two.....
Her strengths lie elsewhere, if she didn't eat all that cake who would? It was a noble sacrifice to keep other people from gaining more calories than they can burn.

You're basically saying even if mc were to try her hardest her brother would still be better when half assing it... This makes it seem like mcs growth is pointless which makes the story about said growth also seem pointless....
You should've given mc and her brother the exact same advantages and that the only reason mc failed is because she never used them for anything productive... Not that she's trash and will always be trash... That just isn't fun to read about...

It would be funny but like the footnote suggested and seeing how this is or is at least a copy of our world, SAO already exists and that is where the name is from.
