Where am I? What is this place? These were questions that appeared in my mind. I wanted to speak them out loud, but again, my ability to talk was worse that one of a toddler thanks to me never using vocal cords before.

Oh, so it was like that huh? Nope, still don’t understand. Can I go home?

“Of course you can go home, the matter is that you got sent here to force a contract on me. I guess it was the god that created your race who thought it was possible, I wonder where they produce idiots like that.”

 I wonder about that too, I would finally know where I come from.

Huh? Why did I think something like that?

“Haha, I’m sorry, I kind of forced you into thinking that, you should really see your face and the amusing expression you made just now. “

I think I’m starting to dislike this grandma.

Before I was able to voice any complaints, darkness enveloped me once again, and when it disappeared, I was a spider once again, lying in the cave after a successful evolution.

Just shut uuuupppp!? Are you done!? I waited for a while, but there were no more messages, meaning that I could finally focus on what just happened. It seems that something broke again, but I really hope the gods won’t come again. I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t be so forgiving the second time.

Anyway, ignoring the system that gradually becomes more and more sentient and mean, some major things happened. My mana proficiency, at least in skills reached a height that I didn’t even know existed, thanks to me evolving. Additionally I gained a weird skill and a title, that seemed to make the system cry.

There was also this external interference, but I might know who it was. That weird grandma I met had some godlike aura around her, and it wouldn’t be weird if she was capable of things like that. From her words I can only guess that she’s some sort of a higher being that oversees all the worlds, but I still have no idea what her real identity is.

Finally, my evolution. I went to search for something that could help me confirm my appearance, since I didn’t feel any different from before. Well, I failed, but in the process Felicia confirmed that I didn’t change at all. Maybe it was my spirit that evolved? No idea. Okay, let’s take a look at my stats.

Oh, my mana is broken too. And what’s with this intelligence growth, I basically gained two thousands in one step! Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to make me more intelligent or wise, but it’s still a nice bonus to my magic. I can’t wait to test it, now that I can control mana on a whole different level.

I couldn’t really wait, so I went to our training ground to begin my testing. It took me a couple of minutes to think up what I wanted to do for the test, but in the end I settled with good old fire. It required some fine precision and ate mana at quite a speed, so using it I could check both my control and the current state of my mana pool which is classified as [error].

I found a decent spot to try my magic, without a risk of burning anything and began to concentrate. Before, I had to create mana fuel and then supply the oxygen, and it took quite a lot of effort to perfectly separate the gasses in air, and then use them without any losses. What would happen now, that my skills supposedly increased?

Okay, let’s try sensing mana first. Wait, why do I feel like something is wrong. Why is there so much feeling coming from everywhere. What is this mana, I didn’t feel it before?! Just now as I checked, my head got assaulted with intense pain, and where normally I would find a simple flow of mana, now I could sense two different ones, which greatly confused me.

The second one that appeared was much calmer, but just the feeling from it alone was close to make me puke. My head felt like it was going to explode, so I had no choice other than to disable the detection skill almost as soon as I used it.
