Sorry for not uploading anything last week, I was away hiking in the mountains.

I buried my face in the ground, trying to escape reality. For the first time in my life I was truly lost, for the first time in my life I was truly unable to progress any further. I felt like this dungeon finally broke me, stripped all of my will to fight away. There was nothing left for me but despair.

And apparently small rocks dropping from the ceiling and hitting me. Maybe this room is soon going to cave in while burying us alive? Not that I cared about my life anymore, now that we were stuck anyway. Another stone just landed on my head, this time a bit bigger and I was pretty sure that it took some of my hp.

*thud*

Wow, this sure was a big one, the impact managed to lift me into the air for a split second. I lifted my head to look at the rock that just fell, and saw that it was probably less than a centimetre away from my face. Whew, that could have been ugly.

That’s a good way to sum it up. It was then that it hit me, when I surveyed the room, I couldn’t find Felicia anywhere. I froze in panic, not knowing if my catgirl wasn’t now lying flat under the huge stone that just fell. I tried moving it, but it just wouldn’t budge, and that just increased my panic.

*THUD*

Owww! This time my luck didn’t help me, and another quite big rock just landed on my head, making everything around me spin for a short time. Maybe I should strengthen the ceiling with my thread? Well, I would have to check it’s state first, so I lifted my head and looked up looking for any big cracks.

And I froze again.

There was a long shaft going up, and there was certainly a second room at it’s second end since Felicia was peeking at me from the edge. She had another big stone in her hand and was visibly trying to aim at me. I’m pretty sure I lost some hp from my facepalm when I realized she was trying to grab my attention to the correct way the whole time.

Anyway, up we go! Fortunately its pretty easy for spiders to climb such high walls, if anything, I was really confused about how Felicia managed to do it, since these were nearly completely smooth. Spiders are pretty convenient creatures when you look at it, they can move on any surface and even make house anywhere and make it double for food catching trap. Hurray for being a spider.

Climbing up the shaft took me less than a minute, and it was only this long because I somehow kept slipping on the seemingly polished surface. I had no idea how Felicia managed to climb on these walls, but knowing her, she probably just flew up using her absurd abilities.

Maybe she copied the spider’s ability to walk on any surface? That would be possible, I’m really disappointed I didn’t see it if that was the case. I mean, wouldn’t it be hilarious seeing her stick to smooth walls and climb? No? Anyway, the thing I found on the end of the shaft was just as I expected.

It was another shaft… not.

Fortunately the scenery changed, and fortunately because it should mean that the tricky part where the path itself confuses you ended. Now we had to deal with mushrooms. Quite literally since wherever I looked, up to horizon, all I could see were giant mushroom caps. We were currently standing on a top of something that looked like ant hill, on the level of those shrooms height.

There was a dim light coming from them, making everything in our surroundings bluish in color. It was honestly, quite a surreal sight, it was certainly one of these sights that can make one feel small. Even inside this small dungeon, one can get reminded of how insignificant they are.

Wait, why am I getting into philosophy now, we have to get going. Why do I feel like my head is a bit hurt?

[Proficiency reached. Gained skill [Mental resistance lvl. 4] ]

Oh, so that’s why. There’s probably some sort of spell or even gas in the surroundings that makes you insane. Well, turning into a philosopher when getting insane is a bit weird, but maybe there are different reactions in different individuals?

Felicia for example is positively drooling right now, and with how cloudy her eyes are right now, I’m pretty sure she’s seeing some nice food in her insanity. I’m pretty sure I had a bucket of water in my shadow storage, let’s see if it can fix her.

Just as I was about to take it out, Felicia suddenly became agitated like a frightened cat. Maybe she instinctively sensed that I was about to douse her in water, but she woke up and was about to run away. When I stopped reaching for water she calmed down a bit, but she was still wary of me.

Just how strong are instincts of this girl, just how could she sense that I was about to reach for a bucket of water, and why was the shock able to wake her up from illusions she was seeing. Will there be a day in the future, when I will be able to understand anything about how this cat’s brain works?
