Jacob stood behind Agatha, continuing to massage her stiff shoulders, while simultaneously hiding the fact that he was thinking over the information he had not divulged.

-My duties stipulate that I am not to disclose any matters spoken about within my Lady’s presence...However, they do not dictate that I must inform her of every thought of mine, only what is necessary for the required task.

In this case, though he had his own motivations in doing so, he was indeed neglecting to inform Agatha of the complete summary based on his observations earlier. Though it was impossible for anyone but himself to know, such motivations were enough to spark some semblance of dishonesty towards his employers.

Regardless of his unknown motivations, the fact that he would keep any secrets from Agatha, as he usually divulged everything he thought troubling on a daily basis to her, was truly unexpected…

-If I were to speak my mind about my true opinions on the matter of the young master...it would most definitely decrease my accuracy in gauging his abilities to the fullest.

Jacob had managed to confirm Fate’s physical strength and so-called ‘acting ability,’ but he felt it was still necessary to probe him and draw out any hidden or latent abilities he may have somehow been keeping hidden.

-Let me see how you play your cards, young master…

He allowed a devious smirk to sneak across his once neutral face, but the now slightly-more relaxed, Agatha, seemed to take no notice of this.

While Liza was attempting to regain her calm and Jacob seemed to be at work, planning some perhaps devious scheme, Fate was sprawled across his cot, exhausted.

Ever since his ‘reunion’ with Jacob and since Liza had left after his promise, he had been attempting to improve his physical condition. If one looked at him, they could see obvious scrapes and scratches along his knuckles, ankles, and less noticeably, the bottoms of his feet. However, it didn’t seem like any of them were deep enough to worry about bleeding.

-It doesn’t seem like I have any other injuries, except these scruffs...Still, though, I should keep focusing on raising my physical stats as much as possible for now. After all, I just need enough power to somehow stun him and run the hell away...or just the latter.

The words that Fate was thinking to himself might have seemed pessimistic, however, his words were quite optimistic, at least in point of view.

It was unknown what Jacob desired from him, but the more serious matter than his motives was that his strength had already been proven to be several levels about his own, and that was only factoring in strength and speed. He had turned part of a stone wall to powder with just his hand and could easily sneak up on Fate without him noticing it, seemingly with little effort and whenever he pleased…

-It took me wailing on that wall for minutes in rage and turning my fists into a bloody mess for me to make a crack that size...Meanwhile, he can move faster than I can see, can turn stone to dust by clenching it in his fist, and that’s probably not even a quarter of what he’s capable of!

Fate held his head low in seeming despair.

Fate: “Haaa...Logically speaking, my odds are looking pretty sh*tty right now...but I’ll keep working as long as I can to improve them and royally screw over fa...ugh...destiny!”

-...Now then, time to see the results of my hard work!
