I flew through the air in a daze. There was so much going on that I didn’t understand, and the people that knew what happened to me, didn’t want to give me the answers. I was starting to think my memory loss really was related to the Amazons, but my limited memory from the comic books wasn’t helping me. Something must be different in this version of DC.

From what I could tell, Wonder Woman was a little crazed, and for some reason thought I impregnated her. Obviously some part of the Blood thing they kept mentioning, I seemed to think that maybe most men that went to the Paradise Island had their memories wiped. Maybe I stumbled upon it after my fight with Zod, and they did…something.

“Fuck,” I mumbled. “Summon Tabi.” The cat appeared on my neck, hardly affected by the wind as we flew West.

“I was wondering where you were,” Tabi said boredly.

“Where the hell were you?” I asked. Last I saw she was helping me fight the eagle, then she was asleep next to me in the cave before Diana knocked me out.

“On Paradise Island,” she said. “Might as well be called the isle of crazy cat ladies. I blended right in. Once they saw my fur I had three different groups fighting over the right to pet me, which turned into that fight you like.”

“I like fights?”

“Yeah, a cat fight I think you ironically called it,” she said.

“Ah, yeah, I do like those,” I admitted as memories of women fighting each other played through my mind. My hand moving up to her fur as I flew. My thoughts were all over the place. I had swooped down to steal a shirt and jeans from another clothes line in Spain, before I reached the ocean. Now there was only the sun above and water below me as I flew.

“What’s wrong?” Tabi asked. “You aren’t asking for details of the cat fight.”

“Yeah…Not sure if you noticed, but I’m not exactly who…I used to be,” I said annoyed.

“True, but you are still the same, I can tell,” she whispered.

“Oh yeah? Another one of your Jinchuriki powers?”

“Fucking hells, Weston. How many times must I tell you that Jinchuriki’s are who we possess. I am a tailed beast,” she said.

“Oh,” I said. “You must have told the old me.” Her haki shifted, feeling the sadness in my voice. Her anger curbed slightly and she contented herself by sitting on my shoulders.

“Don’t forget it this time,” she eventually mumbled.

“I’ll try,” I said, in a sour mood, then thought more on our fight. “Hey, why the hell did you have trouble with that bird?”

“What bird?”

“The giant ass eagle. That one from Rescuer’s Down Under,” I said. The thing was as big as the eagle in that, that was for sure. “You’re a fucking walking calamity. You were the bane of the villages in Naruto. Weren’t you basically a nuclear deterrent? Why would you have trouble with some bird?” I had received some memories from Naruto World, like fighting and training, but no so much of the canon or memories of people that I knew there. I did know the canon of the original story at least, though.

“I was wondering when you would notice,” she growled. “Old you didn’t, that’s for sure.” She was quiet for a time, but slowly began to reveal her thoughts. “Back when I first became your summon my true form was level 10.”

“And you’re level 7 now?” I asked, looking at the status screen.

“Yes, although I am surely not at 70% of my full strength,” she admitted. “I’ve been feeling it as of late. I am not as strong as I used to be.”

“Why is that?” I asked. She had said most of our attacks together entailed Tabi fusing with me somehow so that I could use chakra. Since I had no idea how to use chakra or what seals to try, I didn’t think it was worth trying.

“I have no idea,” she said. “Maybe I am part of our original world too much. Maybe I have been gone too long. Or maybe my true strength truly only awakens at level 10. Either way I don’t like it.”

“So you need to replenish your chakra,” I said.

“Most likely…either that, or I am just not as strong as I used to be,” she said. I nodded, my hand patting her head next to my ear.

“Guess we have something else to figure out,” I said. “Such a long list of things to do. Get memories back, figure out Wonder Woman’s deal…other stuff.”

“Oh yes, that was a weird one. For once a woman was raping you,” she said.

“She was raping me?” I asked.

“Basically,” Tabi said. “Rubbing herself all over you while you were sleeping. It was very disturbing.”

“Wait, did you say I raped people?” I asked.

“You might as well have,” she said. “I don’t recall how much consent there was, but you tended to sleep with everything that moved.”

“That’s not funny, Tabi,” I mumbled. A blush on my face, the last thing I was interested in was sleeping with someone. From what I could tell, these were real people. Despite my Fertility Control bonus, I didn’t want to risk screwing up the timelines these worlds were supposed to have. “Who have I been sleeping with?”

“Where to start. There is Hancock of course,” she said.

“Boa Hancock?” I asked. “I slept with her?!” I couldn’t help but yell. She was basically One Piece’s version of Wonder Woman.

“Slept with, you married her. Had two kids with her as well,” she said.

“Fuck, so old me didn’t care about canon and wanted to make lives in these worlds,” I said, my mind reeling from the implications that I married someone. I needed to get my memories back at any time so I wouldn’t screw up whatever plans I, or other past me, may have had. Whatever I had gone through to lose my memories was probably embarrassing as it was. “Who else am I married to?” I asked.

“I don’t remember. It is shorter to list who you haven’t married or slept with. You humans and your coupling,” She tsked as if disgusted. “I’m sure you were working on that pale girl with the dark tentacles. You might as well just stop fighting it and sleep with everyone.”

“I’m good,” I said. “I’d rather uh…wait or let other me figure it out.”

“Why?” She asked, confused. “It is you, perhaps you will stay this way always.”

“Don’t say that,” I groaned, but then thought on it. It really was me. This was my life at risk, I might as well make the most of it. With that thought I looked at my current notification.

Bonus Upgrade

I wasn’t exactly sure what a Bonus Upgrade did. Though I was half way to my memories I felt it was at least worth trying to figure out what I could do. I used it, and decided to use it on my Minor Dark Magic Resistance, making it Dark Magic Resistance. No notable changes to my body I looked back up to the cat.

“What other drama do you remember from old me?” I asked.

“Oh lots, we once went to a world where you had to impregnate everyone in the city…” She continued on explaining more of the drama I had been a part of during my adventures. I couldn’t help but frown at how much my old self had affected these worlds. Especially how much he slept around. Part of me wondered how the hell he didn’t have super AIDS or something, but left it for now. Either way, I didn’t want to be that way. That was for sure.

“Thaaaat’s not good,” I said slowly as I came to our hotel near Niagara Falls.

The hotel we had gotten was right off the main strip of tourist traps. One of the big chains with Suite in the name. It was where we had talked about meeting up. I was floating in the air above the city, but even at this height I could see something wasn’t right.

First of all there were at least ten black SUVs and vans right at the entrance to the hotel. Second of all everyone within about thirty feet was passed out and on the ground. Which had led to tons of news vans and police cruisers to surround the hotel. The final indicator of something bad going on was the red aura surrounding the area. It looked like the ground and hotel had been dipped in translucent blood. A red haze seeped from the ground like blood droplets floating upwards to form a giant barrier around the hotel.

“You think?” Tabi asked from my shoulder.

“Can I see the red shit because of my Truesight?” I mused.

“It doesn’t fucking matter right now,” she said.

“True,” I said with a nod, my eyes scanning around. I was originally planning to call John’s cell phone number, but thought I might as well just fly straight to the hotel. “Maybe they stayed at a different hotel and this is unrelated to us?”

“Don’t be a fucking idiot, go in there and do something,” Tabi hissed, her clawed paw scratching my ear.

“Ow,” I said, but I knew she was right. Cameras pointing up to me now, I moved my forearm in front of my face to at least hold some anonymity. I really didn’t want to increase my exposure. Instead of going in slowly, I flew down at the hotel.

Finding one of the penthouses with a balcony door open I walked in to find a mother and pair of kids passed out on the floor. The red haze rising up from the floor in tiny droplets around them. I reached down to one of the kids throats. Rather than finding no pulse I found an erratic one. Unsure what was normal, I felt that the pounding of the kid’s heartbeat was rather fast compared to how fast my heart was beating.

Not feeling any adverse affects to the area around me. I jogged into the hallway outside the room. No one there, I moved to the stairwell and jumped down. Finding my first bad guy a floor above where our room had been.

“Hey-” The man said as my elbow went into the top of his skull. It cracked and I cursed.

“Shit, sorry, I didn’t-” I tried to say.

“Leave him,” Tabi hissed. “You’ve killed plenty.”

“Yeah but-” I stopped fighting it as I felt more people coming toward me. The man I had knocked out definitely wasn’t military. Wearing a bloodred robe he appeared to be in some kind of cult. Another person opened the door to the stairwell and I punched them in the face. This time it was a woman.

“Sorry, sorry-” I said, not used to hitting women as blood spurted out her nose and she fainted.

“There he is!” Someone yelled and I was reacting more than thinking. My body a blur I knocked out another three people in an instant. Each one wearing a bloodred robe or cloak, I could tell they weren’t normal, although a part of me hoped they had booked rooms in the hotel for some convention going on. .

“Fuck,” I said, my eyes scanning the halls. There were more right outside where our rooms had been. Running down the hall someone yelled words and a fireball was shot at me. The man had cast real magic and it was coming right for me, way too slow. I dodged around it easily and was upon the man.

I punched hard, but my fist was met with a barrier. I punched again and the invisible guard was broken. His smug face wiped as my knuckles busted teeth in his mouth.

“I’m fucking dangerous,” I said in fear and awe. I really was basically a weapon. Hardly any thought had to go into my attacks as I broke bones and beat bad guys.

“Focus,” Tabi hissed. As she did a blue flame was spit out from her mouth, incinerating the door instantly. Though she wasn’t at her full Naruto world strength, she was still strong. The door disappeared to reveal one of the hotel rooms we rented. Inside were more people in bloodred clothes. This group was up to something though. My spidey sense was tingling.

They stood in a circle in the main room, holding clasped hands and chanting as they swayed from side to side. In between them was Raven, floating in the air. She was inside of her black aura ball and twelve black tentacles were staked to the ceiling. An otherworldly voice was coming from her darkness and the people under her chanted on.

“Fuuuck,” I said rushing forward, stepping right onto a ward made of blood. Instantly I was locked in place. Unable to move, I couldn’t even breathe as I watched the black mist around Raven begin to subside. Her naked form revealed once more, the black tendrils faded away and the girl began to float downward.

“Chalice!” One of the people under her said. Another woman in a robe brought forward a chalice and wicked looking dagger.

“Fuck you!” I yelled at them. Struggling to break free. I covered my body in Hoken, but nothing happened. I tried summoning my Soulsword, but nothing formed. I yelled, trying to use some DBZ strengthening method to break free. Even Tabi was frozen on my shoulder, unable to do anything more than dig her claws into me.

The chalice and dagger came closer to Raven. Handled by a tall man with a shaved head and scar over his eye. Raising it up he said some magic words and maneuvered the knife to be where the falling Raven was headed. Unable to help or do much of anything I did the only thing I could think of.

“World Escape,” I said and it all turned black.

When my eyes opened I was in what Tabi had called the Red Room. It wasn’t exactly red though. There were 12 doors around me, 9 with red lights over them, and 3 with green lights overtop. Hardwood floor at my feet, I received another memory. A memory of the first time I had been in a room just like this. Lost and afraid as I didn’t know what was going on.

“Good to know shit doesn’t change,” I mumbled as I looked around. “Yeah no, I’m lost, summon Tabi.” The blue cat appeared on my shoulder.

“What now?” She asked, annoyed.

“I’m fucking lost,” I said, exasperated. “You told me there is a room and doors, but I don’t know which is which.”

Her tail pointed to the center door, opposite the wall with green lights. “That’s your exit. If you think of it like a clock…because there are twelve doors,” she explained slowly. I rolled my eyes, understanding the reference, not willing to admit that the reminder helped me slightly. “That is your 6 o’clock.”

“Ok so, that’s Marvel?” I asked.

“No, that one,” she said. “That’s Invincible.”

“And where was I at in those worlds?”

“Uhh in Invincible you were arrested, I escaped, because I’m not an idiot. I was living with this nice blue alien family that was feeding me-”

“I get it, you’re better at living it up than me. What happened to me?”

“I don’t recall,” she mused. “Something about being sent to a prison planet and you needed to learn to fly a spaceship. Which to be honest is kind of useless now that you can fly in space.”

“Right, you mentioned that,” I said with a nod. I knew Viltrumites could fly in space, but that was still far beyond what I knew of my memories. Maybe going into space would awaken some knowledge or lack of fear of the vacuum of space, but current me didn’t want to risk it. “Marvel?”

“Uh, all your friends left you on the bird planet.”

“Fucking hell, am I that much of an ass?” I asked.

“Yes,” she said with a nod.

“Thanks,” I mumbled. “You know I’m not that guy, right? Like I don’t think I am at least. You could give me a little credit here.”

“I could, but when I’m easy on you, you tend to make mistakes,” she growled. “You spend too much time jumping to places that do not matter. You need-”

I walked for the center door, cutting her off. Opening it, I was met with a hallway. A door on each side I recalled one held doors I rejected, and the other held doors Tabi had labeled as Weston Worlds for some reason. Another door at the other end of the short hall, I was in a much larger room.

“You called this the Junction, right?” I asked. She nodded in affirmation. Inside were four walls and four doors. Each door had a word over top and red light above the word, showing that the hall needed to be closed. Above the door straight ahead was MANGA, stricken out, to the right was MANHWA, and left was BOOKS. I brought up my Keychain.

“What if I start over?” I asked, considering the manhwa and Book hall.

“Don’t,” she practically hissed.

“You said it yourself, I am my own person,” I said. “What if I just start over and don’t get my memories back?” I didn’t want that, especially three quests away from getting them back in DC, but still. I wanted to know all my options.

“Don’t, Weston,” Tabi said, some fear blooming in her. Not much, but it was there. “Weston wanted to save it for when the new season starts and we can start Manga up again.”

“I know, but Tabi, I’m lost here. You have been shit for help. These worlds are deadly. I’m risking us losing everything if I’m not in tip top shape. You said we have about a year until the new season starts. That doesn’t feel like that much time to get super strong,” I said.

“You are plenty strong…I think. Despite the last Challenge you were doing pretty well,” Tabi said. Growling slightly she said, “Pull up your screen.”

I did so. “You have something there called a vacation, right?” She asked.

“Uh, yeah, a 10 day one,” I said.

“Fine,” she said, her tails swishing against my back. “Lets use that. It will lock the other worlds, and I promise to help you figure out your powers.”

“What then?” I asked.

“Then we go back to DC and do what you need to do to remember who you really are,” she said. “We don’t lose any time and we can get back to-”

“What exactly?” I asked, staring up into her deep blue and black eyes. “What will I be when I awaken my memories?” I asked, trying to articulate what I had been feeling as of late. “You keep bitching about old me. I seem to attract danger after danger. Yes, old me could fight, but I don’t know if I like who I was? Wonder Woman sure seemed crazy, old me in the other world had been a villain named Rift who worked with the Suicide Squad, and-”

“And you helped save Metropolis,” she said. “You were the talk of the world for days after you helped Superman. That’s not bad, that’s…”

“Basically saving my village from a tailed beast,” I said. She cut off, surprised by what I said. “Tabi, I know what you were originally. You hated humans. I’m not sure what happened to you to not hate us as much, but you aren’t exactly a moral compass.”

“I’m not,” she said, annoyance clear in her. “Fine, do what you want to do.”

“But what if I-”

“No, I’m not the best judge of anything. You’ve made your point. Go about your own plan,” she said.

“Fuck,” I said with a frown. My only partner in this whole thing and I pissed her off. Yes, she was being annoying and making me feel stupid, but maybe bringing up her past was a step too far. I really only remembered the nine-tails and her hate for Konoha and people in general. Maybe Matatabi didn’t hate humans.

“I’m…not myself,” I said, turning around and heading back into the Comic Hallway. I brought up my status screen and touched the 10-day vacation.

Would you like to use your 10 Day Vacation?

You will not be able to enter the main worlds.

Your timer for the next challenge will not draw closer

during this time.

The World Escape Function will also have the Cooldown Reduced.

“So if I step into one of these side worlds, I won’t lose time?” I asked Tabi. She didn’t answer though, instead she felt indifferent to me. “Fine,” I said, hoping to make it up to her in a new world. I walked forward, stepping into the door she called Weston Worlds. Tabi’s haki felt a little joy at that for some reason. Doors inside this room I moved to the one at my right and stepped in.

“How did I know you would be drawn to this?” She asked as I walked in. The door shutting behind me it all turned black around us.

“What do you-” I cut off as the scenery around us began to brighten.

that’s it for this week. Sorry there isn’t a conclusion yet. But there were some things I wanted to accomplish with the memory loss. I’m planning a big release in 2 weeks. Then come back to this and spend a long time in DC as everything that has been hinted at finally comes together in some Gotham drama.
