First semester of college can be rough. You don't know anyone, you're out in the world on your own for the first time, you have a new sense of independence. But there's still the likelyhood of encountering cliques like you did in high school.
It's even harder when you're a closeted trans woman with a history of isolation and inability to make friends. If you're not confident enough to come out and transition despite the environment allowing for it, well, you need to put on a facàde and keep it up for the sake of blending in.
And on top of it all, your one attempt at experiencing womanhood has you witness a murder nobody could believe is a murder? What a rough two months.
