A fox intent on breaking the minds of the old cultivators and giving massive headaches to sect leaders (though she fails at the former, she always succeeds at the latter). All the while, she messes around with a system of her own making and accidentally revolutionizing the world at the same time.

I was reading this for a while and while their were minor things here or there having to do with the authority figures abusing their power without any consequences. This would be fine with me if they were portrayed as the "bad guys" or something but they are not.
For example while at the mansion the main character is kidnapped, nearly molested, has their leg broken, and is put through enough pain to knock them unconscious (not to mention nearly killed). So what do the owners of the mansion, who gave the order leading to this, do? They say "I am Luo Xia's father, Quan Xia, and this is my wife, Xuan Yaling. We are both sorry for what happened earlier, as it was a standing order I had given." but not before telling the main character off for not introducing themselves. As a side note in order to make up for her mistake of nearly killing the MC the maid is assigned to her while they are at the mansion. Which seems closer to a veiled threat than actual remorse for what happened. Like saying "you see this person who broke your leg, nearly killed you, and then knocked you unconscious using pain? Yeah they are going to follow you around now.
Raina. While forcefully adopting/imprinting on someone is wrong I at least understand she didn't know what she was doing and is sorry about it. What she doesn't appear to be sorry about is, before the MC had even accepted her as a mother, is forcefully grabbing the MC and combing her tail and petting her, sometimes to the point it felt so good that they couldn't resist. That feels like assault to me and I could see someone argue it as s*xual assault because of how good the MC feels when their tail is pet. It felt like an ongoing gag so I tried to let it go but what really got to me was the curse. Raina cursed the MC so that they would slowly regress back to the age of 10 unknowingly and without their consent. How it is handled is what broke the camel's back for me. Someone else basically tells the MC that they only did it cause they want to spend more time with you so get over yourself. The fact that this works on the MC makes me feel it is closer to emotional manipulation of the MC, using their fear of losing loved ones that the MC learned through their trauma. How easily the MC changes sides makes me feel like they have Stockholm syndrome or something similar.

Seems theres a few tags missing so I'll suggest a few from the list this site gives for stories similar to this:
Stockholm syndrome, Emotionally weak protagonist, Timid protagonist, Mind break, Manipulative Characters.
Tags make a world of difference and theres quite a few emotional beats that come as unexpected due to the lack of tags and context.
The story for the most part has a similar presence to a particular Luna related novel, but it seems every turn of the way the protagonist is gaslit into a whole range of non-consensual actions, never seeking to correct them, never seeking to meaningfully challenge anyone, even when they supposedly have one of the most powerful people in the area as a backer, they put up with veiled threats, bullying and a whole range of things while people sit around nodding 'it is the way of the world' while the protagonist is being procedurally brainwashed by what equates to captors at this point, they are only missing a slave seal for how screwed in the head it has made them at this point.
There is no evolution of personality or character, tacking on a few new character traits isn't developing how they react to situations, it's telling when the character only has bad reactions to guys doing anything but random women get to pet her constantly with no repercussions after it being established as 'intimate family things' like after setting up a specific structure in the middle of the town and having the mother of a friend pet her after previous negative experiences; resulting in near death, in the physical contact area, lack of respect and otherwise, if she won't stop acting on instincts, why does she stop in these cases constantly.
I know only select few people reading this would be happy if someone groping you suddenly meant you were conditioned to obey everything they demand and being unable to refuse, and in many cases controlled into accepting whatever they put down or suffering mental breaks because you tried to refuse due to conditioning. Sounds like a whole load of dread if 'instinct' starts controlling every aspect of your personality, to the point of the main character having little to no agency against those 'instincts'.
The dynamics aren't sufficiently challenged or handled, resulting in a quick apology and then back to the same thing, at no point does anyone bother to ask about boundaries even after crossing the line to the point of someone nearly dying, you would think people would even be slightly aware after a major screw up, to listen to a persons needs, especially one who might not even be the same race, the few times it even gets mentioned when the MC manages to mutter it under their breath, they are quickly ignored but then the MC is happy to challenge completely useless tasks and events.
I really tried, enough to read the entire thing over the course of the last few hours, up to the most recent chapter, but I honestly can't see anything changing, even after a supposed situation to 'get their comeuppance' the main character replies with something equal to 'I know I had a mental breakdown requiring multiple gods to patch up my soul, but it obviously didn't massively affect me, so it's in the past now'.
There is no attempt at character growth, the only 'evolution' is the system evolving how many tails she has. There is no lasting impact of any of the events, even after a severe mental break, there is no struggle after a chapter or two of things being 'wrong', misunderstandings if there are any, last at best two chapters, which might seem great but start feeling lackluster as it keeps happening.
I wish the author well, they have good potential in the story, but I don't think the way they have decided to show it, is for me.

Honestly had high hopes for this story, its a good concept and the first couple chapters were promising but I just can't read it anymore. I had hopes that the main character would eventually get some backbone or people around them would realise how messed up their actions were but they just keep violating her rights over and over, she has been molested, attacked, victim blamed, mentally and emotionally manipulated both by conversation and "racial instincts" and some of the things done to her by her "mother" were described by the author themself as something a kitsune would give the death penalty for.

I don't need to add anything here as the other 3 reviews describe this novel perfectly.
I loved the start and the idea of the industrial revolution in a cultivation world, but the 'mother'. Abuse the MC Handel's, just makes me beyond uncomfortable.
Just read the other reviews before you decide to read this novel. But personally? I wouldn't recommend this one anyone.....
