Status: chapter 39 – human purifier. first contact.

Fascinating, but rushedThat's probably the best way I can put it. This story's premise has gone through a few iterations and landed on something quite interesting. I love the exploration of the main character's ability and all the funky ways it could be used. I love the worldbuilding and the potential for more. I once read a light novel called "Saving 80k gold for my retirement", and this fic is everything I liked about it and more.

This, however, leads to my singular, massive gripe I have with this story: pacing. I swear, the currently available story could easily be stretched to span 200+ chapters and would likely be better off for it. So many things are brought up only to be immediately pushed aside as the main narrative doesn't have time to explore them. Hell, we have:

    Spoiler
    • 7 unique, expansive 'paths' of alien psychic powers.
    • A world full of city-states, ruled by superpowered nobles.
    • Moral conflict as a result of biological class segregation.
    • f**king superheroes are being used by nations as weapons, who are slowly dying without realizing why.
    • Alien invasion by way of magic crystals, which has also terraformed the city-state planet.
    • Dungeon-esque exploration as a result of available riches and the need to stop the zombie horde.
    • Ultra-advanced tech capable of building supercomputers the size of chicken nuggets and 3d printers that can build anything.

    [collapse]
And yet, literally all those points are never properly explored for more than a chapter. The first point, in fact, is shown off in a single chapter, then never explored again.

One world is saved/conquered in ~14 chapters, and the other is dominated in the 9 chapters after that. The initial start of the story is longer than each of those. No, that is not an exaggeration.

Bignt, I love your stories, but please: try not to burn yourself out so quickly. It hasn't gone well before.
