It’s a supernatural romance novel, I have read countless times.
The story is about a protagonist who suddenly gains immortality, and uses it to protect his beloved girlfriends against hostile villains who wish for chaos and destruction.
As a reader, I loved how the protagonist would use his body to protect his women and people against enemies, whom he couldn’t defeat without teamwork and strategic warfare.

I wished to one day be like that protagonist. I wanted to work and protect my family with my body too.

Unfortunately, I was born with a really weak immune system. My body would experience pain and severe damage when exposed to Earth’s atmosphere.

I… I was a dying boy clinging to life thanks to my parents efforts. And when those efforts went to waste because of my condition… I… I couldn’t look at my family in the eyes… I… I committed suicide…

It was painful to slit my own throat with a piece of glass. But it had too be done.
I was a burden to my family, as such, in order for them to be happy, I took the best choice available.

I freed my family from despair. I freed them from myself. And with that. I was happy to die. Happy to die of my own choice.
