One of the best novels I have read. It's very enjoyable and engaging all the way through, and it just leaves you thirsting for more. The pace the Shmd maintains is astonishing given the quality of writing.
One of the best webnovels out there tbh. I read a lot on many websites over the past 5 years and this is pretty great. I love the character interactions, the emotions and the slow buildup that will inevitably and hopefully end in some great battle scenes and emotions. The perspective changes are great and they really feel like different characters. The grammar is good enough but it definitely lacks a proofreader because each chapter has many errors, but the author most of the time corrects them if comments point them out. I m looking forward to how this story develops and hopefully the author never abandons it. It's good.
There are a ton of superhero-themed stories with trans protagonists, many of which I've enjoyed. I haven't seen many that are set in the Marvel universe though, as opposed to entirely newly imagined settings. Fortunately, despite not really knowing much about marvel lore or characters myself, I've followed along just fine (and learned some comic book lore along the way lol).
There's enough focus on gender issues to satisfy someone looking for a cathartic story in that department, but it's not all about that, so cis readers would likely enjoy the story just fine too.
There are grammar and spelling mistakes, but considering the author's disclaimer about not being a native speaker, it's quite good in that context and so it didn't bother me - the actual substance of the writing is good and misspellings/etc aren't too frequent.
The dynamics between the main character and her "blood-sister" are cute, and I enjoyed the protagonist bonding with her new 'normal' sister as well, in addition to fixing the family dynamics she found herself in.
The pacing of the story has picked up quite a bit towards the end of where the story is currently at, with a fun round of power progression/etc, but I think there's probably still plenty to go as it seems like a ton of stuff is queuing up to begin soon. I hope the story has a bit of ebb and flow as it progresses further though, with some slower segments to further build character bonds in addition to just action/conflict.
Amazing story. The author has an insane upload schedule, especially for how long the chapters are and how good the story is. The grammar's really good too. The website won't actually let me put a five star review for some reason. ≫: (
Honestly, I never write reviews, but I felt obligated to do so this time.
Grammar and style are pretty good. The story is solid, even with the not so interesting plot. The characters and their interactions are marvelous though. The dialogues, reasonings, and character development feel extremely realistic and organic. All of that makes the story slow-paced. The plot is thickening right now, but I really recommend it only if you are comfortable with slice of life.
Even though it is a Marvel fic, the descriptions and explanations are enough for those that don't know/care much about mcu (my case).
