Status: vampire in space part 1: intruder

I am afraid to say that it is a very good idea, but poorly done. In the first place, the protagonist Ela, is a rather erratic character, and I don't mean that in a good way. I am not able to understand what's her way of being is. One moment she's a ruthless killer and a couple of sentences later she act like a 5 year old kid. It changes constantly and it becomes impossible to understand or empathize with her.

Regarding the start. Dude, if she's supposed to be a ruthless killer, why does she leave people alive? And to top it off without a reason. Leave the captain of the ship alive, but for what? For her to escape on the ship just because? And the other one that escaped in one of the capsules, She left her alive too. And there was no reason for it. Now let's add what seemed to me the worst. The way she was captured. A vampire, who was described as a ruthless killer, with enormous physical abilities and incredibly powerful... she is captured by a single person, not because of skill, not even luck, but because the script needed it. How, why, for what? it makes no sense...

The characters are actually quite flat. Where are the motivations for what they do? She is literally wanting freedom, and in fact she could easily do that if she ran away on that first supposed mission. Didn't have ID? So how the hell did she get off his own planet? There's have to be a way she got to that first ship, why not apply it here as well? I guess there isn't because everything just came out without thinking about anything at all. Putting that aside, what tied her to the rebels? I mean, if they don't trust her, what makes her to help them? They can track her down, but then what? A vampire who is extremely powerful and could slaughter an entire ship and they had nothing to force her to do what they wanted? Come on, that doesn't make any f**king sense.

Finally, love interest. I'll put it short, it feels fake, period. Everything that has happened would make a lot more sense if from the moment they took her out of that cube cell, Ela had fallen in love at first sight with Brandy. There at least it would make sense why she stays and helps them. But since it's not done that way, then it makes everything else total nonsense. I will return to my initial words. A very good idea, poorly done
