The protagonist of the story. She seems to have communication issues, and thinks poorly of herself. She's known as the Strongest Magical Gal in the World* by those who know her. She's not sure she can live up to those expectations.

Malty Moon - Her mascot and the creature that gave her magical powers. She's grown to have an antagonistic relationship with the slime. The only reason Malty still breathes is because she witholds important information from Madeline at every turn.

Olivia Mueller - Her student... and perhaps something more? She likes how the mousey girl pores over books, tucks a pencil behind her ear when she's focused, the way her irises constrict like a cat hunting her prey. She's not sure she can live up to Olivia's idealistic view of her, and it eats away at her core.

= Summary =

Olivia grew up surrounded by magical warrior merchandise, and wanted to become a magical warrior herself. She's studied magical warriors extensively, but her applications to several magical warrior agencies were rejected, possibly on the basis of her appearance. A studious, but unkempt, magical otaku.

= Relationships =

Madeline Crisp - The light of her world, the most powerful magical girl to ever exist, and now her teacher! If she just studies under her, she can become powerful too, right? Being near her is so calming. She's quiet, and likes to gaze out windows and just watch the day go by... thoughts of lying in her lap and watching the world pass often race through Olivia's head. She doesn't understand these feelings, the way they bustle in her heart and make her pulse quicken... it's like reading a particularly exciting book around her.

Malty Moon - She's not so bad, when you get down to it. She's very patient, and willing to help with your problems... Madeline locks her up in a jar. They must have beef with each other, because she's such a sweet thing. She does sometimes hear the slime muttering ominous things, but she's a good Neverlander. She wouldn't hurt a fly. Really!

= Summary =

Your typical redheaded, rich, preppy girl who happened to be a beautiful cheerleader-- she had all she could ever ask for, until a basketball game went sideways. The Malice chewed through half the team, and would have taken her with it-- if Madeline hadn't intervened. Since then, she's openly pined for the girl, joining the gang and pulling back on her bullying. Somewhere along the way, she became Magimaid's head director, responsible for all the advertising and promotional materials. She redesigned the outfit of every Magimaid magical girl, including Madeline.

Madeline Crisp - The love of her life; she only bullied her until she had her life saved by Madeline's quick thinking and discovered her identity. Since then, she's been a die-hard fan, willing to do anything and everything to get Madeline to love her. It is unclear exactly how many crimes she has committed in the pursuit of her love.

Olivia Mueller - Unclear what to think of the mousey girl who butt into her life and stole Madeline from under her nose-- she's trying to find the emotional balance between 'jealous' and 'extremely horny' right now.

Nancy Hawkins - She used to torment the girl, but came around to her after joining the gang at school. Considers her something between a friend and an acquaintance-- she doesn't hate hanging out with her, but the constant lectures cause her to roll her eyes. She's not even paying attention most of the time!

Chii - Her contractor has been incredibly useful to her-- granting powers she never could have dreamed of and bringing her closer to the love of her life, Madeline. In short, the best friend you could ever ask for. She regularly has Chii over to discuss her next moves and make her wish come true.

A film student, skateboarder and all around ditz, she believes in a world where everyone is equal and nobody suffers. She's been trying, unsuccessfully, to write a movie about herself and pitch it to an audience, but she can't exactly get all the details together right. Whatever! With Tabby, Madster and Chii on her side, she's sure to figure something out!

Madeline Crisp - Her absolute best bud in the whole wide world-- always looking out for her and helping her when her thoughts went sideways. She would not have passed high school without Madster watching her back.

Olivia Mueller - She would literally die for her contractor. Not that she can-- she's an artifact now, but Livs has her full support in anything she does. She is more than excited to help her reach her full potential, and teach her the power of the Court of Democracy.

Tabitha Barnes - A bully she came around to liking in high school-- Tabby turned out to be surprisingly supportive and knowledgeable about film. She's had a crush on her after going on a movie date alone and finding her feelings in the dark. She'll admit them some day!

Chii - Her contractor is a blast to be around, and she's super stoked for the opportunity to be a magical warrior. She often worries about what might have happened if she made a deal with Malty instead, but she's glad that she got the colorful girl. She likes painting with her mascot, even if she's not the best art-wise. Maybe one day they'll get to make a fully animated movie together?
