Honestly, the best smut scenes I have ever read, with good enough variety that it doesn't ever feel stale.

That variety also extends to the characters, who are all distinct people with strong personalities and identities. They are all likeable, and exist as individual entities, doing their own thing and thinking their own thoughts.

Also, love that it's going the polyamory route, it's just a matter of the characters growing closer, it's not just a harem where every other character is obsessed with Zoey - they develop outside of their involvement with her, growing closer and develop close relationships with each other.

Is this the best story that you will ever read? Probably not. 

Is it the best smut you will ever read? Most likely.

But honestly, this story has one of, if not the absolute best, smut scenes that I have ever read. Combine this with an actually interesting story that happens in a nice fantasy world with skill and magic system, and you will get an amazing read. 

So if you want a lot of well written smut (like 70% of the story probably), combined with a fun and interesting main story - read this immediately, and dont forget some napkins. Thank me later.

Really loved this - Zoe is sweet and warm but understandably stiff. The futa p*rn is great and the fantasy combat flows well, and Rosalie and Delta are cute and incredibly thirsty in their own way. That being said, a lot of the drama and interest of the story is in the s*x and romance, with the more combat centered part very much being glue and/or a sideshow, so be aware of that.

Some of the best smut here if you like Game Elements in your stories (I certainly do). Finds a balance between smut and overarching plot. The smut tends to find some creativity and is far more respectful of women than your typical smut tag story which is such a nice breath of fresh air. This is balanced by an interesting plot that keeps me daydreaming and coming back for more.

No matter what anyone says, it's one of the 2 best Futa series on the site, I'm sure someone who spends enough time on this site knows which series is the other one (It's just below this series in the rankings xD). So I'll copy and paste this review under the other series because both the weekly chapters and the chapters are very similar. The world of the story is very well established, the pace of the events is very good and the best part is that the smut chapters are very fun to read. I think it's better to collect the volumes and read them, that's what I recommend to you.

I wanna give my two cents on the too much s*x argument.

tldr: This is a story about a chosen hero of a Goddess of s*x whose powers revolve around having s*x, and will save the world mostly by having a lot of s*x, and will become a Goddess.. Mostly by having a lot of s*x. Please, if you decide to read this, do not expect A Very Reserved Amount Of s*x.

On to the argument. And the rest of my ramblings.

Rael makes a bit of a confusing argument to me since it reads to me that they say the problem isn't that there's too much p*rn in the p*rn story, but then they immediately say that it's not balanced enough and that it would be better if there was less p*rn in the p*rn story, so that the story has more story and less porn.

So I'm just going to conclude that the problem is indeed what they said the first time; in their opinion, s*x scenes should be more sparse and feel more 'earned' than they are in this story.

So then, they speak as a reader who wants more plot and less 'plot'.

I agree with them on that one bit, I suppose. I personally enjoy both elements and don't particularly care about the balancing; it seems fine to me, but I would prefer more fantasy than s*x scenes. I like made-up magic talk more, and sometimes I'm just wishing for more alchemy talk or magic to feed my insatiable appetite for it, to be a bit miffed when I see there's no more.

But I don't think that makes it a 1 star.

I like internal consistency. I feel like this story has that. I don't think it 'pretends' to be a specific way, just to disappoint the reader later, or something like that.

I don't think the characters pretend to take their lives 100% seriously. Zoey, the main character, and the crew, cannot excuse all of her perverted behavior on her class and her God-given duty. They just can't. And they don't. They don't pretend that 'oh this is all to save the world, this is such a deep story aaa'.

If I just look at the synopsis again..

"But with so many cute girls to lay conquest to, and a new piece of equipment to help her along the way... well, things could be much, much worse."

I don't think the author intends this story to be 100% or even 90% serious, either. Or the title:

"This Ascent to Divinity is Lewder Than Expected"

It.. it doesn't pretend to be a very serious story with very tasteful application of s*x scenes. Nah. with this synopsis, title, and first chapter, you'd best expect that the s*x is not particularly built-up-to, not always earned through a heart-twisting story arc, and not that reserved, in general.

I think Rael's review is very useful.

If you are a reader who believes a good story should use s*x scenes tastefully and should not have it entirely intwined with the story, then please do not torment yourself by reading this story about a girl granted a subway-sandwich cock by a Goddess of s*x and told to save a world and eventually become a Goddess of s*x with her, by f**king (nearly) every girl she meets. Because that gives her magic powers.

Yeah. The main character is a pervert, and so is the entire crew with her. Don't expect very tasteful and sparse s*x scenes. 

Anyways, the s*x that is there may not be earned through an expertly woven tale each time, but I worship internal consistency, and it indeed feels pretty natural to me how often they get dirty, due to how basically all the important characters can be pretty freaky. The main crew is pretty horny for each other.

But while her powers revolve around having s*x, they can't exactly save the world solely doing that.

While the main cast is not too busy screwing, they do indeed make necessary progress towards saving the world. Given the scale of that task, it won't be over within just one month or two.

While the magic system is game-like, it's not being too rigid in that structure. They do pretty well at adding powers and items that actually get used, and remembering what the characters have and can do. 

Perhaps some items don't see use... But neither do a lot of items in RPG games. Not every piece of loot has to be a key item or strong piece of gear they'll use. But they haven't been forgotten about entirely.

The dungeon crawling is lewd.
