A groundbreaking new cosmetic surgery, even allowing humans to fuse themselves with animal DNA was recently introduced, distracting from the sorted history of disappearances around town. This has drawn Detective Artifal Carter back to her home town, on a missing persons case, involving the disappearance of the top student at Change College, despite months of searching few leads had formed, and the case was getting weak. But as leads finally make themselves known, the detective is drawn deeper into the underbelly of Change City.
