A transmigrator gets another chance at life in a world of Dungeons and perhaps Dragons.
Hunters are now the new celebrities with incomparable responsibility and power beyond imagination.
While the world seems to be at peace and is making great progress, fearsome enemies approach.
With a body plagued with mana poisoning, watch how Jacob deals with the struggles of life and the feelings of his heart.
Witness his transformation and journey toward greatness.
It's time to level up.
Something to know about this novel:
1. Each chapter is ~2000 words.
2. If you find an error, tell me. I'll correct it and thank you.
3. This is a fan fiction of the novel "Solo Leveling" or "Only I Level Up". But it is NOT set in the Solo Leveling world. You can still read and understand this novel if you have not read Solo Leveling.
4. I am only taking Sung Jinwoo's system and giving Jacob (my MC) a system similar to it.
5. I only own my characters and my original story. I do not own "Solo Levelling" or "Only I Level Up"

I am approaching this review as someone who generally doesn't like isekai'd stories. I believe they have been done to death in media so it takes a really great idea to make me like one.
Having said that, 'I also level up' is a unique duck in that it falls into the same isekai tropes that readers may be familiar with, but cleverly avoids tropes that readers often find frustrating. For me, I dislike OP MCs who do not have to work very hard to achieve a lot. Jacob is a character I can get behind. He is shown to struggle, work hard and advance slowly through the ranks.
Regarding the world building, the story features a rather generic list of names such as Bob and Adam but also mixes in a couple of unusual ones like Sumei. The actual world reads like a typical fantasy setting, with rules and monsters that feel as though they've been plucked from a DnD campaign.
Each chapter has a good pace and the author has good command of language. Some of the tags and concepts advertised has yet to make an appearance, but I applaud that because I know what is coming, but I don't have to worry about the author rushing things.
This is a story very much about the journey of Jacob, as opposed to a series of very fortunate events that make them a hollow shell of a main character that is so prevalent in today's media.
Two critiques I would lodge is that I find the fight scenes to be very quick, but not all that creative. Secondly, character descriptions are very basic or non-existent, often times leaving me with a big question mark hanging over my head wonder what these people are meant to look like.
The above are both things that can be fixed and worked on. They didn't bother me, but I can understand another reader not picking up this title because of those things.

A total disaster. MC is beyond idiot. System is.. Hmm lets say simple and meaningless. MC after gets the system and tries to get stronger puts all his stats in STR cus a muscle head is the first sign of idiocy in system novels. After he gets his class which is a necromancer he starts to focus on INT, now hold on his total MP is equal to his INT stat and his MPRegen is his level per minute. Anyways instead of trying to fix himself he starts to look for a relationship and that was the final chapter. Hopefully author-san will do humanity a favor and looks for other hobbies that definitely is not writing.
