Dara had been whipped to within an inch of her life by her father, and for the simplest of reasons. She existed. Her anger, rage, and hatred of the man drew a being to her like a moth to a flame.

The Queen of the Varra was not a denizen of Imera. Her people were already dead, and she was the last of her kind. When she used the last of her energy to find a suitable vessel, she found Dara dying at the hands of her father. This was the perfect opportunity.

'Daughter. I have come for you.' Like a demon's voice, she spoke to Dara. 'Eat the seed, and gain great strength.' Without a second thought, Dara swallowed the seed that appeared in her hand.

For the queen, it was salvation for her people. For Dara, that voice was the gentlest tone that has ever been aimed at her. Once that seed entered her belly, she became that voice's true daughter.

In the dark, the Eyeless find strength. In the darkness that they can create, the Eyeless can and will thrive.

This is a rewrite of the original story, and new chapters will be added as they are written. It will take a while, as I have too many projects on the go. The world will be better explained, but at the same time, not all at once. Don't read the first chapter and expect all the answers.

Special note - There is violence, sadism, sex, and sex against one's will. There will be murder, intrigue, gods and goddesses, with a female MC who is not cute and cuddly like some. She is strong and smart, but with a beauty that can terrify those who try to bring her harm.
