I've beta-read this up to chapter twelve of part one. This is amazingly good, one of Ela's best works (she keeps getting better). The multiple names for each character is a little confusing, but soon becomes clear with careful reading, and the story definitely repays that care. All the characters are well-realized and fascinating to read about, and the plot moves quickly.
