Sixteen year old Jordan Parker lives in a group foster home, hiding her true self from the world. What people see when they look at her is a six-and-a-half foot tall dumb jock, and she’s learned not to try and change that impression. But in her dr
I give a good vote for the writing style and the plot and because a secondary character acting as the hero in their place is something I don't find around that often, but I'm dropping here for three reasons, one stupid, one average and one that I really can't stand any longer.
1) Neo's mukbangs. It would be funny to read them only if conservation of mass is respected and so the next scenes would be her sitting on the toilet. This is personal taste, so I don't think it's a minus for anyone else that would be interested on this novel.
2) Fourteen chapters of Neo steamrolling whatever threat appeared in front of her aren't that much fun to read, especially when the other characters are so deep that they can be replaced with cardboard cuts and play the same parts. But maybe it get's better, so... take this as the opinion of someone that dropped far before being halfway through (at the moment of writing this review, the chapters available were 55).
3) The psychological abuse of Neo. In the novel (at least until the point where I dropped) all the people around Neo keep telling her she's a lesbian and treating her as if she's in a same-s*x relationship. Now, it would be interesting if this had been used to discuss the effects of mental abuse on others (because yes, insisting on telling to someone - heteros*xual or closeted - that they're gay and that they're in a same-s*x relationship with someone when they say no to both is called "gaslighting" and it's considered psychological abuse) instead of comedy stuff, I would have continued reading.

Join us today in our definitely-not-lesbian (wink wink) princess’ journey to redeem and discover herself!! On serious note, first two chapters can be slightly confusing, but the story gets better and better from that point onward. There are plenty of other important character’s POV chapters, delicate balance between emotional tension/burden and heartwarming fluff-ness, and character progressions at good pace. Plus, don’t forget yuri/girl’s love fluff!!
