A Unique Sub-Species of Monster. It has heightened intelligence and contains extraordinary power that can grow with time. They are super rare, to the point that only a few have been recorded across all of history according to Dynanimus data entries. Regulus Monsters have been tagged with Z-Rank, the highest level that equates to potential world destruction. Each Regulus Monster has one set unique skill that defies the world in some form.

Dynanimus is the name of the human continent. Its name derives from the latin roots of 'Dyna' and 'Animus' meaning "Motivated by Power". It has a variety of towns that are all at separate technological levels based on how the town's officials decided to run them. Mostly humans live here, however, it's considered a blender for other species since elves and others of that like can be found here.

Chroterr is the name of the Elven continent. It's name derives from the

latin roots of 'Chrono' and 'Terr' meaning "Time and Earth". The elves who populate it live from hundreds to thousands of years, easily having one of the highest life spans. They once used to deeply care for nature and living beings, but they changed their ways and are now tech junkies. The entire continent is covered in cybernetics and is a massive cityscape. In the center of the continent is the World tree, Cyconis. Chroterr is one of the highest distributors for technology across the world, mainly rooting from the elves vast knowledge they gathered across many lifetimes.

The Lacuna is a sub-space inside of Cynical's mind, since his body and core are the main body. It stores all 999 variants inside of these two massive white floating rings that rotate around the central platform. In this sub-space anything that is thought of, can be made. It's similar to a lucid dream in a sense. The Lacuna acts almost like a prison for the variants, holding them captive for the number of years according to the number in their core. The Lacuna has existed for roughly 999 years, dating back to when the first variant was locked inside.

Hellion's Purgatory is also known as the island of monsters. It hosts nearly every monster that has existed within the world. The island occasionally has breaks where monsters will flood out and escape to the outer continents. At the center of the island is a colossal tower that shoots up into the sky, it has many floors and has never been beaten. However, there is a rumor that if you defeat the final floor the "Gods" will grant you one wish. Whether that is true or not is unknown.

The System is a cosmic entity that has been collecting the variants across different parallel universes. Grabbing the matching souls that can easily synchronize with each other. The System has little known about it. The variants despise it to high hell, however it also grants the ability to control the world's leveling system. The intentions of the System are unknown.

The former identity of the variants before they were reincarnated into their current states.

Variant 01. He's the main character/narrator. He's a Regulus Monster, his species being a slime. He has a deep-rooted hatred for his home world due to its dystopian properties among other reasons. Cynical has the main attribute of magic creation, he can easily learn skills and is the current host for the System. He tends to be sadistic in his methods, and has a twisted personality. Cynical mainly sides as an anti-hero/anti-villain type, though some of his actions could be considered "villainous". He is the main body for the variants, and caused an event known as a 'Rupture'. Cynical tends to be highly fond of Esther.

Esther is a high-elf with an absurd amount of mana that breaches beyond 600,000. She has the nickname of 'Mage Empress' and is highly skilled in mixing magic together for combination spells. She met Cynical by chance after he stopped a thief from stealing her belongings. Esther is highly fond of Cynical.

Variant 06. He commonly goes by 'Six'. His main attribute has to deal with shadows, and his personality archetype deals around the edgy type. He is an avid manga fan and reads a series called 'Anomalous'. Six is highly lazy and won't do anything unless he is forced into it, or there is a trade made where he gets something he wants.

Variant 04. Commonly reffered to as 'Four'. His main attribute is blood magic and physical attacks. He uses a scythe as his main weapon and can move it at quick speeds. Four has a tendency to make fun of other people and he's on terrible terms with Risible. He has murderous impulses and kills just for the fun of it.

Variant 99. His main attributes deal with absolute air manipulation along with wind. He can bend air as he wills, creating gaps in space to remove air resistance or to suffocate someone. Risible is a heavy alcoholic and a bit of a flirt with women. He's on great terms with Cynical, and terrible terms with Four.

The Knight Captain of Noyade, a city located on the outskirts of Dynanimus. He is extraordinarily powerful, and he wields a buster sword. He is muscular and wears light weight black and gold armor. Goldwill is the personal bodyguard of the merchant Percide, he is also a relatively close friend. Goldwill has a big stance on upholding his own form of 'justice'.

Percide is the guildmaster for Dynanimus's leading merchant guild. He is greedy and hordes gold in the hundreds. He is the noble that is in charge of Noyade, and keeps taxes high on his people.

Skills are a type of stat that can be acquired through hard work and dedication. They allow for a special condition that can't usually be done otherwise. In the case of Cynical, his skill [Spell Creation] allows him to create any spell depending on the combination of the mana gears. There are also unique skills that are set for Regulus Monsters, these are usually some form of world defying ability.

Titles are a unique display system that attaches to an entity once certain requirements are met. Some titles can only belong to one person, while others can be shared among many. Every title has an absolute effect, in the case of Cynical's title, "Magician's Crusade", it stops him from reaching zero mana and leaves him with one remaining.
