This is why I hate these kinds of novels: losing past-life memories and killing off the family so the main character doesn't have any responsibility. They can't write about how to love their family. It's stupid. And then, killing off the mother so he can be with the family of Rudeus? That's so foolish. I don't like it at all

Simply perfect!
With its amazing original start with subtly changes in the canon to give way to a very interesting story with good development of the characters, which I especially loved being the family and the few parts of romance, as well as no hesitation in making use of characters that only appeared quite later in the original work.
The MC is strong but not a living cheat like Rudeus, with his seemly unlimited amount of mana except for when facing god-ranked powerhouses. The growth is nice to read and quite fair and well explained while also detailing the rest of the relevant character's growth in power.
I laughed a lot and even cried a few times already, so I can't help but want to see this to the end.

one of the better mushoku tensei fanfic around. The pace and the storytelling is not one bit inferior to the original novel, some might even say it's better because OC is not one dimensional like rudeus is. One flaw is really bug me off which other reviewer already said is that the author killing off OC mother as passing moments just for the sake of making OC to become zenith son is a bit excessive and left some bad taste in my mind. It's deeply regrettable but also understandable. Well no story is perfect without a fault, so this minor annoyance is something I can endure tho some people might hate heavy handed plot like that. If you can pass that moment tho, the rest is really good. This is one of the two my favorite mushoku tensei fic i've read
