In the centuries after the first demon war, the human Church of Light fought a second war against the goddess Megia and her army of witches, ending with the destruction of the witches and the sealing of the goddess into a prison-dimension. Now, two millennia after the end of the first demon war the Church and its system, run with the help of the industrial Mana-Factorum, is facing an increased threat from magical beasts and those struck by the Daego's Curse. Factions within the church suspect the demons are planning to return. The foremost voice of this position within the church finds himself an unlikely ally: The reincarnated Goddess of Magic. They join forces to find the truth of the encroaching darkness before its too late. With a group of Holy Knights, an energetic archaeologist, and the first new witch in generations- they're planning to bring about a change in the world to ensure the demons can never dominate the world again.
