On the last day of the year, a lonely young man walks into the forest and emerges... changed. Knowing that these changes are only going to last until the new year's first sunrise, the now-girl sets out on a journey toward truth and identity. Watch as she makes friends, finds joy and love, and faces herself and her future - all within the space of a single night - the night of a lifetime.
This has to be one of my fav trans egg angst/fluff stories. Especially Eve's internal monologue, it felt so real & echoed so much of my own. Happy New Year :>

This story is unusual in that it combines both the "instant magic gender transformation" stereotype with the more traditional "protagonist has to go the long way around" by cleverly playing with tropes. It's a story that I feel manages to excell in depicting the sheer sorrow that any transwoman would feel if we were given the one thing that we all wish for- a instant and perfect transformation of our body to suit our self- but only for a single night. It also manages to be a charming and whimsical romance story which manages to make all of its characters feel fleshed out despite the story taking place over the course of a single night on New Year's Eve.
It's also written by a writer whose first language is German, which does not affect the quality of the writing from a technical perspective. Some of it feels stilted as it generally does with ESL writers, but it's one of the rare cases where this is neither an impediment that could have been resolved by the author writing in their native tongue or where an author's status as a ESL speaker is detrimental to the writing.
It's one of those hidden gems on the web which I'm always grateful to stumble across. 5/5, highly recommended.
