Her powers manifested at a young age of 6, she was quickly abandoned by her nomadic family in eastern Europe. While it took her the better part of a decade to master her shapeshifting powers, she never wanted to be treated lesser or a victim, so she would did what ever it took to better her life. She too abandoned her first child, fearing how such a small thing could damage her image and livelihood.  However, that event scared her so she would adjust her life style for her next to children much later in her life, even quitting the first Brotherhood to raise her first son, and reconnecting with an old friend to help her continue her work with the second Brotherhood to be there to raise her second. Finding some joy in being a mother, she even took in two, an orphan and a runaway to help complete her family.

Real Name: Irene Adler

Age: 93

Adopted and raised a lesser noble in Hungary, her life changed when one summer her mutant powers manifested at the age of 17. She gained the ability to perceive the future through her senses. She literately spent the summer writing down everything that she saw, till a servant of the house found her staring dumbstruck, this servant would have left her alone as many had, but she saw that Irene's hands were bleeding and her eyes dry from lack of blinking.

Her father sent her to a Nunnery, where she met her life long friend and companion, Mystique. The two worked out a plan, and they escaped and throughout much of the early 1900's tried to use her visions to improve the future.

However, their plans did not always work out, a scientist that they attempted to promote, instead went mad and became disgraced. forcing the man to change his name and appearance and go into hiding. A renowned University Professor they tried to befriend to promote the existence of mutants, instead joined a witches coven and used magic to ensnare them. Luckily Irene saw the ambush before it happened and manged to escape it, however her friend was captured and used for years, before she  laid an ambush of her own and killed the man in secret.

Today she takes care of her friend's home, and estate. Including her, no their three children.

Real Name: Anna Marie Hopewell (refuses to use)

Age: 16

Unbeknown to her, Anna was raised in a cult in southern Mississippi. She knew her community kept to themselves, but didn't think much of it, until the police and federal agents came in trying to enforce a warrant. She found out after the fact, to support the growing needs of their group, her community had started growing and selling marijuana in large quantities. All she knew was that when the leader of their group shot and killed a federal agent, it was time to live someplace else.

It took some time, and a lot of effort for her to get far enough away to feel safe. she remembered other kids, who tried to leave their community, get dragged back and shamed, and Anna never wanted to go back and go through that, so she stopped using her name. She had settled into a small abandoned shack, in Florida that she hunted the local wildlife first to survive, then she made a deal with a local butcher in the next town over, saying it was her 'daddy' that killed and skinned them, but either way he would buy some of the meat off of her.

Her life changed near her 15th birthday, first she met an odd pair of women. Who came around her shack, Rogue, as the locals had started calling her, was about ready to run them off, when the two offered to buy some of her older animal hides and skins off of her porch. She sold them, always needing more money, but more than that a boy that she was sweet on, convinced her to share a kiss with him behind the grocery store just before her weekly supply run.

Unfortunately for both of them, Rogue's mutant powers had awakened without her noticing, and having never kissed anyone before she just kept at it, while she silently drained his vitality and memories. it was seeing thoughts of using herself as a stepping stone to loose her virginity did she realize something was wrong. She shoved him away and was about to berate him, but instead started to panic as she watched Cody go through a seizure. It was the two mystery women that came to her aid, and got her out of there, before anyone else saw what had happened to her 'boyfriend'.

(Some locations were changed, but the only real difference is that i gave her a family name, unlike in the 616 her parents family name is never revealed)

Real Name: Kurt Darkholme

Age: 15

Kurt is the son of Mystique and a mutant named Azazel. while Kurt has never met his father it is clear who the father was at birth, as the boy was born with his mutant powers awakened. Even before he could walk, he could teleport short distances. Unable to hide the nature of her son, his mother, quickly created a fake identity to buy a home, to raise the boy in isolation. Yet somehow, this did not diminish his cheerful nature.

He was raised mostly by his mother's best friend Irene, but his mother would still take a couple months off of work to spend time with them. and his loneliness really ended within the last year or two, when his mothers brought home with them two other girls around his age to live with. his older sisters, Rogue and Arlette.

(there is a 'What if?' that this back story is based off of, which its ending will change as a result of this novella)

Real Name: Arlette Truffaunt

Age: 16

A French-Canadian girl, Arlette's mother died early in the girl's life, but she always remembered that her mother told her that he father was a powerful man in Hollywood. Still Arlette spent much of formative years in the Hull House of Orphaned Children in Ontario, Canada. A life she very much wants to forget and treat never happened.

Arlette couldn't tell anyone when she started to being able to 'tag' people and influence them, but this is what she was doing to an abusive orderly when she was discovered by Mystique. The shapeshifter quickly created an persona to adopt the girl, and shortly after told young Arlette that she saw something of herself in the young teen.

(For those that know the character, I only really added her being adopted to her backstory, as in the 616 this character would eventually be awarded to the state where she would be forced to join the Canadian superhero team Alpha Flight. Fun Fact: she was a last minute addition, originally i was going to use Wallflower from the '03 run of the New Mutants, but felt that a pheromone user would cause problems later in the series.)

Real name: Vanessa 'Ven' Carlysle

Age: 25

Getting kicked out when her powers manifested in High School, Vanessa turned herself to the oldest profession of prostitution. For a couple of years life was hard for her, better than most street works as she would move off and 'copy' someone else so no pimp could ever really claim her. Yet still life on the streets was hard.

She thought her life would turn around when she got together and married the up and coming solider Wade Wilson, but he unfortunately got dishonorably discharged because of his mouth and attitude. and they things looked better briefly when he started to make a name for himself as a mercenary. But then he got cancer and the two of them had to watch his lift slowly slip away from both of them.

It was after this that she got the surprise job offer of her life, when she bumped into Mystique and her skin turned blue instead of the brown the woman currently showed the world. So she started a career as pseudo-terrorist/freedom fighter as the back espionage agent of the Brotherhood.
