Synopsis

Leo awakens reincarnated in the brutal world of Akame ga Kill, forced to navigate a deadly path among merciless assassins and powerful foes as he fights for survival.

I do not own any rights to the characters (except for original creations like Geralt). The cover art is AI-generated.

Also the first 20 or 30 chapter may be little here and there (cuz I was writing for the first time in my life.) but if you persist a little the content quality will gradually improve (because I learned and improved over the past six months.) That’s all.

P.s - I have rewritten and edited the first 30 chapters, enjoy.

Status: chapter : 87 shotgun showdown

Honestly, this is my first time writing a review for any novel, be it Naruto fics or Harry Potter ones. The sole reason I’m writing this review is to cheer up the author, who continues posting chapters for this Akame ga Kill fic despite getting so little attention from readers.

I understand that attention and views depend on the type of fic you’re writing and how fluently you portray the story and characters, so I won’t comment much on that.

Now, back to the main topic about this fic. Just so you know, I’ll be impartial while judging.

From my perspective, it seems like the author initially started this fic half-heartedly, possibly without reading the manga and having only watched the anime (this is just my assumption). However, in the later chapters, it’s evident that you’ve dived deep into the Akame ga Kill manga, including side stories and Zero.

The beginning follows the typical reincarnation trope, where the MC finds himself in the Akame ga Kill world, but with a twist: he hasn’t watched the anime, realizes he’s reincarnated, and begins to forget his memories after a few months.

While I won’t critique the concept too much, I feel you could have made the MC an original character from the world itself instead of adding the reincarnation angle.

Grammar-wise, you’ve done well, but there’s room for improvement. That said, it’s understandable since English isn’t your first language (same here).

I would have suggested using paraphrasing tools, but from the latest chapters, it seems you’ve already started using them, and the improvement is noticeable.

Now, without spoiling too much, I’ll say that the first 25 chapters were barely 3 out of 5 stars for me. However, you’ve made significant progress, correcting your mistakes and refining your writing along the way. The story has improved enough to earn a solid 4 stars now.

As of the current chapter (88), I’m genuinely enjoying where the story is heading. You’re not pulling any punches or softening the brutal nature of Akame ga Kill, which thrives on its themes of brutality and sacrifice.

Honestly, when you saved Tatsumi’s friends early on, I thought you’d shy away from the darker elements, but your recent chapters have proven me wrong—and I love it!

Many fanfic authors make their MC all-knowing, overpowered, and overly focused on harems within 20–30 chapters. While there’s nothing wrong with that (I enjoy a good harem story myself), your approach feels refreshing and well-thought-out.

    Conclusion

The beginning was rough, but over the past 7–8 months, you’ve shown tremendous improvement in your writing, dialogues, world-building, storytelling, and character development.

I would suggest re-editing and reposting the first 30 chapters to appeal to new readers, as many drop a fic within the first few chapters if it doesn’t grip them.

I know how hard it is to write consistently (I’ve tried and failed), so I’m giving you 5 stars for your dedication. However, don’t let the quality drop as you move forward.

Lastly, I’m eagerly waiting for when you’ll bring our favorite sadist, Esdeath, into the story! Keep up the great work!
