The Venerable One, Reincarnator Extraordinaire, has lived through all. Nine lives showed him many shades of life; he was a Hero once and Demon Lord in another; again a Heavenly Beast and a Time Manipulating Vampire in another. Finally, a Cultivator in his latest. He was a little insane in his head by now, but hey maybe that's the perk of living too many lives.
He finds himself in incredible joy as roots die hard, and he is reincarnated in a Modern World as a mere human in his 10th (?) life.
But…
“Why is my mother an Idol? Huh- wait, Devils?”
It just so happened to be an anime amalgamation world, filled with character he was familiar with.

Feels like the proper story is just now starting, what came before was a long ass prologue. Not necessarily bad, the general writing is nice, the characters individually feel alive and their interactions with each other are mostly pretty smooth.
The protagonist is... honestly, pretty bad. Which is quite unfortunate because his past lives are really cool, especially the tidbits of information that are presented to us along the chapters. Each one very different from the other, with him having different personalities for good reason in each of them.
Problem with that is how it was used in the present point in the story. It felt more like an excuse for the author to be able to write whatever he wanted according to his mood in that specific day, regardless of how out of character it would be.
And talking about out of character, be prepared for some pretty incel behavior that got spilled over from the author to his novel, it doesn't feel like they are the character's thoughts and actions at all for the most part, demeaning comments and thoughts towards women are rampant for a good while, it does tone it down but just barely, so if you get easily offended I seriously recommend you don't try this at all. Even with my thick skin I had to take quite a few breaks to be able to keep going without letting it get to me.
The s*x scenes are entirely skippable, literally all of them no exceptions. 1 or 2 poses for each plus a mirror for 60-70% of them. Dirty talk even worse. Try to put yourself in the mind of a insecure 14 year old imagining how to be dominant in bed. Regardless of who they are, first time or not, romantic mood or not, innocent or more promiscuous; it's always fast, hard and rough. And of course, they will have no personality during the scene, just "yea I like it" or whatever.
Unfortunately the best female characters ended up being the ones outside his harem, because they still retain their personalites and aren't all obedient so to not tickle the MC's inferiority complex or get brainwashed by his mysogynistic crap.
In almost 200 chapters there were 2 maybe 3 battles that mattered at all in the sense of taking a bit longer which is honestly something that I liked a lot. Not a fan of a wall of text detailing every single battle in the story.
The problem is that there's a lack of balance in the sense that there's so many power-ups and level-ups that make them irrelevant as they are barely used, same with the rankings, there's no point in having them unless they are universal and used for everyone without exceptions; it's like having a system that shows the mc's stats in numbers but no one else's so who is he or us gonna compare it to? It's pointless.
Honestly, I'm pretty torn about the rating, this could go anywhere from 1 to 4 stars depending entirely on the mood.
On one side if I had literally anything else decent left to read I don't think I would have put up with the incel behavior oozing along the chapters
On the other side, the writing really fun and I love how it was available to open up to other universes and worlds and it is finally only starting to venture out there.
Prooooblem is, this kinda novel and with how big and open the universe has become, it's almost impossible to believe this will ever see an ending before well over a 1000 chapters, so chances are it will get dropped well before that, looking at simple statistics on SH and other main webnovel sites, not many go past such milestones.
Also, this kind of setting is simply incompatible with the current release schedule and word count. It takes forever to go anywhere so the viable option is to pile up at least a few dozen chapters.

I don't usually like the anime multiverse harem stuff but this one integrates them well and is pretty fun to read.

Loving the story so far I just hope there's none of the fMC forgetting who the MC is like in the
cursed gamer

Came into this with low expectations and a lot of hope mainly because multiversal crossovers are almost always trash or devolve into trash... until I read this story. The MC is Aqua Hoshino from Oshi no Ko, I wont spoil too much but basically he is a serial reincarnator who has had some very colorful lives and he remembers 10 of them. Due to this his personality is a mix of many different things and yet he somehow does still feel like OG Aqua which makes it all the better.
The mix of anime universes is honestly seamless and so we'll done you could honestly believe this was how it should have been. Aqua is an OP MC but due to how well the DxD universe is blended in, this isn't actually a bad thing instead its balanced because DxD power scaling is pretty damn high. While there is a lot of smut the author skillfully avoids What most others can't and that's derailing the plot in order to have smut every damn chapter, no this story has a good mix of well written smut and a very engaging plot. I'm always looking forward to the next chapter.

I agree with other reviewers talking about how they dislike the MC's personality. I understand that he may be broken due to the multiple reincarnations leading to multiple personalities which is mentioned in the novel, but completely dislike how he acts like an irredeemable piece of garbage, derogatory towards others despite being a weakling himself with nothing to show except for his previous incarnations.
He chose a cultivation method with a slow level of growth in a world he knew had gods and powerful beings, yet he doesn't try hard to cultivate, putting himself, his family and harem in dangerous situations because he wants to act like a chad, despite having the mindset and personality of someone mentally stunted.
I enjoyed reading the first few chapters because they were an interesting spin on the multiverse fanfic genre, and may have enjoyed more of I didn't mind the MC himself.

This is good and readable. And mostly its own stand-alone novel. Really well done with good characters, a good world, good worldbuilding and progression, and a good background. Good chapter size and content, and good grammar. And a enjoyable and interesting story (if you enjoy. Harem building stories. Due its more than that)
Would really recommend it 5/5-stars
But.... It has some problems. So do be carefully.
-Firstly, and something that might decrease how enjoyable it is to read, is that it is a little stale. The writing that is. Basically if one does not enjoy the story then the writing will certainly not draw one in. (this might be half intentional on the author's part)
Plus it is a lot in the MC mind which is not the most exciting of perspective since he is an old soul.
—-Important——
-Secondly, and most importantly at being a a fault, plus continuing with him being an old soul. This novel really, really, does not embrace the fact that it is a harem story. Despite the fact that it "absolutely, " 100%, is a harem story.
Not in a way that it is ashamed of it, but as part of the characters building. This is very notable with the most prevalent fanfiction in this novel. "highschool DXD."
Basically if one makes a half adult harem fanfiction in high school DxD. What is the one thing the MC will do? The answer is chase the girls. Or at least give them some attention since the whole original series is fan service.
This novels MC has absolutely zero drive to chase girls (at least in the first half, character growth). The problem for the novel is. This is 100% a harem story, with the guy certainly getting the girls in the end. Like seriously, instead of showing interest the first thing the MC does is actively try to avoid the girls in a cruel and deliberate way, not shy, even finding them all lacking compared to others.
That makes the author deliver absolutely cruel with the fact that the girls will still become his, and would and does make me want to give this zero stars.
Of course. The MC's actions do make sense with his background, which is great story-building. Plus the story is progressing and the characters are still growing. Which again is great work on the author's part and makes everything believable.
The thing is, again, that the authors's delivery of it is truly just disgusting and cruel, however, it makes certain sense with the background. it is just not needed almost all the time and is excessively done.
An example of the cruelty. But keep In mind it is also an example of the quality world-and character-building the author is doing. There is a reason the author wrote what is in the spoiler. It just did not need to be cruel or excessive!!!!
so he has a childhood friend who is in love with him. He knows she is in love with him but in his age he is not interested in teen love. But he relents and decides to go on a walk with his childhood friend, which everyone knows is a date. Then the author comes in and writes of how excited the childhood friend is, and how she prepares and comes early and is very nervous. Very lovely. Then the author makes the MC several hours, again, hours, late for no reason. (very realistic reason but not in a novel or for a thousand-year-old cultivator). All while writing how this lovely childhood friend is waiting in the cold all alone with her excitement dead and no contact or word from the MC, despite phones being a thing. Then the MC comes late, shows not a single ounce of care for her and they have a date. With the author writing that she is glad now.
There was absolutely no reason to write about ruining a girls first date by making the girl wait hours for a uncaring bastard. Jus a hour would have been enough. Or even write from the girls perspective. But the author did it. Sure it is believable in a real world and is excellent work. But this is a novel, a harem novel. There was no reason for it except for being cruel especially with the MC not contacting her. The MC was fully aware of what he did but the author still decided to write it in a way that was just unnecessary.
Then of course the girl becomes special and becomes his girlfriend. Which again makes the whole cruel part absolutely useless and is just disgusting
Nor do I like that the only reason he cares about the new her is because of his past. Why not focused on a new brighter future?
There many are other examples and weird (in my opinion) things the authors has "intentionally" decided to include in this novel in a false (false in the fact its not an attempt) attempt at pretending to not be a harem story from the MC perspective despite it being a harem story. Whose conclusion just become weird (like the fact of not caring for Risa or her problem. Despit being fully aware of it)
I am not saying it is bad to include them since they make perfect sense. But they did not need to be excessive.
Like seriously, why even include and then make deep the thing with the aunt if you want to keep the uncle. Seriously, it did not need to be revealed to be something deep and disgusting. A harmless touching would have been enough. but noooooo!!!! it had to be an all-the-way thing despite it being a complete mystery before expanding upon it.
Of course and again. Everything is very good work and fits with the story, with the characters, and with the realistic and believable world the author is building.
Like seriously. this is excellently done and good work on the author's part with the only thing actually hindering this novel being the stale writing, which might be half-intentional since it is from the MC's perspective. I would really recommend this if one is just looking for quality. Plus the character are growing and it has stop pretending to not be a harem story soon. I think.
Which is why I am giving this novel 5/5- stars. This is excellent.
But.. Again again, seriously. I fully understand giving this novel 1-star.
Either way this novel is 5/5- start novel on this site with the only negative being stale writing style. Any rating below 3/5 -stars is opinionated and something that does not reflect the quality since this is a really good work. Due it does very much deserve them.

The main storyline is just starting; the smaller storylines are not thought-provoking; the emotions are good, but could be better (lack of humor) ; the erotica is worse than the gamer; the combat is boring.
I know that all of this could have been much better and I feel disappointed.

Really enjoying this novel so far, even more than the author's other works. The pacing has been solid and the characters feel pretty distinct. The main character has some quirks that I won't get into, but he makes for an interesting protagonist. He can certainly be irritating at times, but at the very least he isn't some cliche paragon of virtue or unfeeling machine. Grammar and word choice can get a little shaky at points, but both feel above average on the whole. Easily the best part of the series is the way the author connects characters from different anime and integrates them into a single world seamlessly.
And finally.... the smut is excellent

Blends multiple world fairly seemlessly while pulling the veil on the power structure of DxD. The smut is good yet it is only a complement to the story. This author cant seem to disappoint. The summary calls out the MC as crazy yet that makes it seem too extreme. He has trauma from his many lives but I think he deals with it rather well. Sometimes his actions seem a bit much but when you step back and remember who he is and what he has been through then it is rather mild.
TLDR: IT's good, read it!
