Reincarnated in the age of the legendary King Arthur, in the dangerous, unknown and hectic world of Fate no less, Aston knew not what drove him to join the King in his, no, her cause.. What had driven him to join her Round Table of Knights?
Was it his inability to look away and think solely for himself?
Was it the indescribable urge to do something about the unimaginable suffering of the common man?
Was it lust for his king?
Was it a desire for fame and glory?
His ambitions?
Aston had fought, killed, suffered, been betrayed, helped, saved, waged war and so much more.. To the point where he'd forgotten the naive him of the past, forgotten what he fought for and perhaps desperately clung to his loyalty to the Legendary King of Camelot.
Even as others left, he did not.. Aston remained his king's loyal spear, up until his last breath, his weapon was used to do as his king willed even if he'd long realised it would end with his own death...
Now, appearing in a modern age he'd all but forgotten, in a war against his own king, would he cling to the loyalties of a life ended or would he act upon his realisations and in doing so, abandon all he'd stood for?

A bit of clarification, this fic is NOT set in the age of King Arthur, it's about a young teenager who reincarnated there and acted on naive thoughts and went too deep to back out once that part of him died off.. The story is set in the 21st century, in the Fate/Stay Night world.

So far It's very good, the personality of the protagonist is fantastic, the grammar is very good, I hardly found any mistakes, the story is well done, it's really surprising that a "newbie" can do something so good, I hope that let it stay like this until the end.

Its good so far. Its still a bit early, however so far, the character interactions have been good, and not as though Author is teetering on the edge of what can and cant be done to keep the story as 'normal (As in Canon events) ' as possible, which has the story flowing pretty smoothly along in a new direction that I'm rooting for.
Fingers crossed it doesn't end up like the many of fate fics where things rapidly snowball once alliances are made since there isn't a ton of things to build off of.
If you're a fan of the fate series would definitely recommend. Only regret is finding it while the chapters are so few : (

The story is one of the best Fate fanfics I have read, up there with FATE/Defiance (reincarnated as Icarus) and I Will Eventually Become the Hero of Justice (reincarnated as Shirou before the 4th Grail War), the only problem is that the MC is too strong for the cast of Stay Night, his power level seems like it would fit better in Grand Order, technically speaking he is not too strong to be Servant in FATE, but a bit too much for Shirou to deal with

It's really good so far minor lore mistakes like Sasaki getting the homeland boost but since he's not actually Sasaki Kojiro but just some random farmer he wasn't receiving the boost but those don't really matter. But other than that the author has great knowledge on fate lore and it's really well written. Only complaint is that Aston feels a little too OP every fight feels like there's no risk that no matter what happens he would win.

Around a 5, (Made at chapter 50)
So in my quest to widen my readings, throughout the year I started reading fanfictions, and I just decided to pick this one to read.
And it has been a very fun read. Pretty simple on the fanfic side, just adding a powerful character into the world. The character himself, Aston, has been a pleasure to read, while he might be stronger than most characters in the story, it is done well. Cause while the fights have been good, they aren't the focus on the story. Learning about the past, moving on, and all that fun stuff.
The story itself is short, about 46 chapters. So overall a good read, short read, and yeah it was just a fun experience.
The past of the round table is referenced quite frequently, but it's pretty must just Aston and Artoria, cause set in Fate/Stay time. Which is a good thing for the story, as not too many characters to focus on. But the development of the round table cast has been quiet good.
Also spoilers for certain events, and about the future of story, so please don't precede if you aren't interested in spoilers.
Final warning.
So what I've talked about really only covers as I call it part 1. Which Aston being summoned in Stay Night.
But Part 2, focuses on something different. Basically a different version of Aston, in a different timeline (Fate Grand Order Camelot) . Personality wise he doesn't seem much different, which make sense. But it is a different timeline, so no connection (Maybe?) (Who knows if the author pulls something) to part 1 Aston. But it focuses on the events in Fate Grand Order Camelot, with the knights of the round table being the focus, and most importantly Mordred. Who from what we learned in part 1 cared for Aston deeply, good job basically father figure Aston.
But yeah, excited to see how part 2 develops.
Yeah overall though. Story good.
