The more I thought about it, the more I likely make myself think that it is all forgotten now in this day and age of flesh and metal. The smoke of burning skin and rotten bones waft through my nostrils as I watch closely at the burning pile of bodies while writing this blog, I've been told to keep watch in case that they move again like last time... the casualty from it can be devastating than the usual attacks we garnered through eight days of our clearing operation. A series of incidence led to another, his son happened to stumble upon the substance. It all started with the loss of a loved one and a vie for ownership of a thing left behind, which somehow scaled into an apocalyptic event. Stopping it would technically make her a hero, but don’t look to her as such. She’s not a hero, and she’s no one’s champion. She’s only her father’s daughter, and the only thing that matters is retrieving the gift that was left for her—the one that was stolen. Her goal is a selfish one, the means of which won’t be heroic. Bystanders will have their own role to play. As Mioko attains the strength to do what she must, it will probably fall to others to clean up the destruction in her wake.

Continuity:
This is the rewrite of Redux Riding Hood. The title has been changed to Rune Wolf with RRH moved to a subtitle. The MC's name has been changed from Sarah to Mioko and you will find that the characters are more developed, the writing is much improved, and that the story is more cohesive overall. <<less

Author here: This story is not human-centric, so expect creature designs that are not human-like or fan-service designs that doesn't make any sense.

This is a reverse evolution kind of story, where the characters slowly turn into monsters.

Beware however, the protagonists are not humans to begin with, so their thought processes and how they see things will be slightly different from conventional human protagonists.
